Today I am sharing a page utilizing a super fun background cut file. Typically, I like to utilize the negative cut and back it with some patterned paper. But, I've been on a rainbow kick and I've also been loving texture and things not perfectly adhered down to other things. So, I busted out my watercolors and had a little fun.
Here is the page I created using a recent cut file for March:
Rainbow! ROYGBV! This cut file was perfect to execute the design I had in my head. And it was super easy to put it all together. After cutting, I simply painted each strip. After drying, I applied adhesive to only the flowery parts. The ends stick up and I kind of dig it.
Then, I dug out my bling and enamel dots to help seal the deal with the rainbow vibe. Of course, I threw in some other elements to help ground the design and balance the colors. Neutrals are always a necessity for that kind of thing.
In the end, I really wanted the cut file and colors to shine.
Here are a few more close-ups:
Thanks for swinging by today!
