Crafting off the Page with Cut Files May 18, 2016 10:00 1 Comment
Hello everyone. I wanted to show you a project I created with my daughters. They hold a lemonade / bake sale every year and we always dress it up with all sorts of crafty elements so when this year rolled around, I knew exactly which JustNick cut files to use.
Can you spot the three cut files I used? It's a bit of an I-Spy game so let me walk you through it and show you a tutorial.
This entire decor of the lemonade stand was inspired by this paper flower garland I wanted to create. I hand cut some of the flowers from the Paige Evans' Fancy Free collection for Pink Paislee.
Then I chose two flowers from the Lazy Daisies cut file and added circles for holes in the middle of them so I could string them on the twine.
Next I downloaded the Stems 2 cut file created a hole for the twine to go through the leaf of the stem. To do this, I created a small circle nested in a large circle. I then stacked it on top of the stem and welded it together.
I then strung them on the twine and hung them from the top of the lemonade stand.
Next I created a little sign for the stand inviting people to try the lemonade. I chose the Lemon Slice cut file and then I typed "pucker up" and cut it out of coordinating paper.
I created several other elements using my Silhouette. You can find the details for those on my blog.
