I'm doing another twist on backgrounds.today. I decided to create a page using just the negative cuts from the Doodle Flower Background cut file. Take a look...
To create this page, I enlarged the cut file so that the larger middle circles measured approximately 2". I did that so the flower petals would be large enough for my 2x2 photos and my 1.5x1.5 photo.
I then ungrouped the file and removed elements that I didn't want to cut, only keeping a few of the circles and petals and arranged them so that they were in rows next to each other so that I could cut enough petals.
Once I had them all cut, I arranged them in the same placement as the enlarged cut file, moving them around to ensure all the petals fit. Then I stitched around the base of the petals and inside the middles. And there you have it! A layout created using the negative elements of the cut file.
