Hello, hello! Aurelie here today with a floral reveal. This time around, I played with Nicole Nowosad's fabulous Spike Flowers cut file. And here's what I came up with:

Sometimes, it's all about using a cut file just the way it is, as an embellishment. I sometimes stress myself out thinking I have to do something extraordinary with a cut file, but really, cut files can be fabulous just as they are in their original form, like this one. And what's even more fantastic with this cut file is that you get three flowers in one file. WOO!HOO! I wanted to created something soft and subtle for this sweet pic of my dear Éloïse in her grandmother's arms, but also wanted a bit of oomph! in the colouring. These feisty flowers combined with the fiery colour was just was I needed to create contrast with the other elements of the layout. At first, I wanted to cluster all the flowers around the photo, but it wasn't working for me, so I opted to fold the biggest flower over the edge of the background and BOOM! I had the ah-ha moment I was looking for. Love how this turned out!
