Cards A Plenty September 24, 2015 07:00 1 Comment

Hello everyone,

Melissa here with two cards that showcase some background cut files. These are so fun to use with cards! I've also included a card sentiment and a fun arrow with a word, that can also be found in the shop.

For these cards, I utilized white cardstock and then inked to make them my own and match with the color scheme of the design.

For this Congrats card, I relied on my comfort zone style, clean and simple. By utilizing the colors and patterns of this paper collection and the business of the background design, there wasn't much I had to do. That's one of the beauties of using background cut files for cards. If you need to whip up something the night before... hmm... I've never had to do that before... cough cough... it is awesome to let the cut file do the work!

That congrats sentiment is a beauty too! I love being able to resize the files however I need them.

The next card, I still used white cardstock but did some inking! I attempted an ombre look for the background. It shows up nicely, in person, and I hope it shows up enough in this photo.

I think I've said it before with a past project, I just love how a background cut file can add nice texture to the background of a card. What could have been left as white space, looks so much more filled out and pretty with that background.  And how fun to use that word arrow, right??? By adding the letter stickers, it was easy to turn that into a complete sentiment.

I hope you get a chance to grab some of these awesome background cut files and get to creating this week! There is such a great selection in the shop!
