Hello lovelies!  Welcome to the JustNick Studio blog today - it's Majken here with you.  This week's theme is "words".  JustNick has so many awesome words to choose from, but I ultimately chose the main word from "Bloom" to be the title of my layout with my lovely daughter when she was about three years old.  <3

Bloom

I got to dip into my new stash of Pink Paislee Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans.  I love the colors and chose a few pinks and purple papers to back the flowers in the cut file, which I cut with textured white cardstock.

I cut a few leaves from the dark green patterned paper, which you can see peeking out on the right side of the photo.  I love to combine cut files with ephemera to add dimension and contrast. I used a blender brush to spread a very light circle of Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink around where I planned to put the photo.

I resized the "bloom" word to be about 11" wide so it would serve as the "anchor" to the layout.  I also offset "bloom" so I could cut a mat slightly larger to help emphasize the title.  I used 3D foam tape to pop the title up as well.

Here is a look at the gorgeous Bloom cut file:

So glad you joined us today on the JustNick Studio blog.  Be sure to check us out on Instagram, and of course, come visit the store to see what other word cut files you can use to title your projects!
