Summer Fun Cards August 31, 2016 07:00
Hi Just Nick friends! It's Jaclyn here to share with you some summery greetings I've made with my very favorite of the August released cut files: Summer Fun.
The citrus pieces first caught my eye. They could be used for so many things but my first thought was to use them in accompaniment with a sweet thank you note. I pulled the pretty script 'thank you' sentiment from the Simple Card Sentiments file.
I cut the citrus pieces from patterned paper to mimic a lime, lemon and orange slice. Each one was then backed with a coordinating solid and white cardstock. A few strategically placed sequins finish off the card in an eye-catching manner.
The sunglass icon was another fun design that stood out to me upon first glance. Cutting the eyewear pieces out of bright patterned papers makes for a fun and energetic birthday greeting.
Have you ever explored the cut files Nicole has designed specific to card making? The Card Sentiments 1 file included the word 'happy' which proved to be a fun typographic element amongst the diecut icons and stamped birthday greeting.
The Summer Fun cut file is must have for bright and festive greeting cards and/or for scrapping your favorite summer memories!
