Fall | Anna Blades September 17, 2020 00:00
Hey JustNick friends!
It's Anna here with you today. Fall is knocking on the door, so for today's project, I've created a layout totally inspired by the colors and textures of autumn.
First, I started with my background, using the Fall Leaves Outline cut file. I cut a bunch of leaves from white cardstock, and then I glued them onto another white cardstock. By doing it, I created a cool textured background.
I covered the page with clear gesso and used pigment powders to color it. I also made some splatters with watercolors and gold Colorshine from Heidi Swapp.
For my title, I cut four times (from white smooth cardstock) the word "fall" from the TN Fall cut file, and stacked them all together.
I used the distress oxide inks to make this color gradient look. I placed it vertically, overlapping the picture. I love how the left side of the title is "floating". The texture is very important in this layout, so I put this kind of fishnet behind my photo and glued it to the page with foam to give it more dimension.
To embellish the page, I only used a couple of stickers, die-cut leaves, and a gold foil heart. Finally, I framed my layout with a wood grain patterned paper. (I would have liked to make a machine stitching, but my sewing machine was broken...)
And that's it! I hope that this layout inspires you some fall projects. I don't know about you, but this page takes me to the mountain, sitting next to a fire with a hot drink in my hands.
Don't forget to check out the new cut files every week. Have a great day!
See you soon!
