Hi Just Nick friends! It's Jaclyn here today to share a recent scrapbook page.
I love finding untraditional and/or unexpected uses for my digital die cut designs. It's not a technique I always search out, but certainly one that fell in my lap for this page. In the process of cleaning up and reorganizing my digital files, I ran across Just Nick's gorgeous Frosted Windowpanes design. Knowing that I had not yet had the opportunity to use it and also knowing that I had been holding onto these photos of my daughter dressed up as Elsa, from the Disney movie Frozen - a perfectly paired page was born!
I initially cut the design from white cardstock, but a backing layer of shimmery, sugar coated white cardstock, really makes it special. The entire piece was attached to my page with foam adhesive, which creates lots of dimension and shadowing on my page. I finished off the design with a scattering of blue, clear and white sequins for another bit of interest and sparkle.
The Frosted Windowpane design, with two straight sides, nestles nicely into the upper corner of my title and journaling block. It reinforces my 'Frozen' theme, while framing out and leading the viewers eye to the story and photos on the page.
Thank so much for joining me today! I hope you've been inspired to get crafty with your favorite Just Nick designs!
