Fun Selfie Moment | Majken Pullin June 19, 2019 07:00
Hello crafters! Majken here with you today sharing a layout using a fun background cut file along with 3 others to create a title. I'm not the best person at taking selfies, but my kiddos were with me on the floor about eight years ago, and we were playing when the opportunity arose. I captured their personalities and treasure these photos. <3
I took the rainbow striped patterned paper from the Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope collection to cut the Heart Strings Background. I LOVE how the strings look like colorful rainbow waves!
I cut the Heart Strings Background at approximately 11" so I could frame it with white textured cardstock and one of the other patterned papers from Kaleidoscope. I ended up sewing around the background for some additional texture.
I wanted my two 2x3 photos on the right to avoid covering as many of those cute hearts as possible! And I knew my title would go on the left. I started browsing the JustNick store for various words to see what would work well.
I pulled "FUN" from Summer, "selfie" from Capture This, and "moment" from Summer Cards.
I cut the title using the same patterned paper I used to frame the layout because purple is happy. :) And I raised the title with 3D Foam Squares for more dimension.
What's really great about digital cut files is you can size them to match your project! #winning
I added the embellishments of stickers and Thickers last among the heart strings background cut file. All the Hearts!
And then journaling below one photo between two heart strings!
I hope my colorful project inspires you to use cut files with patterned paper in fun ways (like this rainbow!) as well as combine many words to create a fun, mixed-font title.
Have a super, colorful week!
