Hello, hello JustNick papercrafters! Majken here with you today to a layout with you with some florals. This time, I've used felt as the backing for my cut files rather than paper. I matched felt colors with the lovely Carta Bella Flower Market collection.
I started with a 5x7 black and white photo - me with my now 17-year-old daugher (yikes!!) and my bestie with her daughter. I used the new Spiral Flower Bundle to cut several flowers and leaves. When I saw this cut file, I knew I had to use it!
You can back cut files with felt very similar to how you do with paper. Some tips in using felt:
- Use scissors that are only used with fabric for easy cutting
- Use fast-drying liquid glue to adhere the felt to cardstock
- I sewed on my cutfiles after adhering the felt, but if you sew before, then you won't get any bunching on the felt
Here are some close-ups.
I encourage you to mix in fabric or other fun materials when using your cut files...and don't forget to share them with us!
Thanks for joining us here today...enjoy your week!
