Hello everyone and happy June! Majken here with you today sharing a layout using a couple of the newer cut files in the store. I live in the Houston area, and we don't get a lengthy spring - it tends to jump from winter, to a couple of weeks of spring, then right into summer! But with these new Blossom files, I feel I can extend spring in a different way.
I first cut out the Blossom Background in white textured cardstock and then tested it over different backgrounds before settling on the blue watercolor paper - it's gorgeous!
But I wanted some contrast between the cut file and the background, so I chose one of the colorful papers to cut the outline of the background cutfile by opening the .svg file, releasing the compound path, and ungrouping the background from the cut file. Then I chose to "Cut Edge" on the file.
I layered this cut underneath the white background cut file then put over the blue watercolor paper.
I then cut five blossoms out separately and layered over the cut file to create more dimension.
Here are some close ups!
I added a title from the ephemera, some buttons for the center of some flowers, and stickers.
