Holiday gift tags | Jaclyn Rench December 23, 2016 07:00 1 Comment
Hi Just Nick friends! The countdown to Christmas is coming to a close, but it's not too late to whip up some pretty little tags to adorn the pile of presents you have sitting under the tree.
These two tags took under 20 minutes to make and could quite easily be mass produced to decorate a whole pile of presents.
I selected some of my favorite Just Nick holiday icon cut files, a few basic supplies - paper, stamps, enamel dots and trims, and went to work.
The ornament design looks extra special when it's cut out of glitter specialty paper. Backing the cut with white cardstock and adding an ornament hanger cut from grey brings the design to life.
I added a bit of greenery by cutting the leaves from the holly berries cut file and used enamel dots to act as the berries. A stamped and embossed sentiment on vellum adds a nice finishing touch.
The pinecone design is so unique, it's sure to make a statement on just about any project. I cut the shape from dark brown cardstock and used the negative cuts from a lighter brown paper, to create dimension. Strategically placed bits of glitter, mimic the look of a coating of sparkling snow.
The bow portion of the design really stands out, when cut from red cardstock and accented with an epoxy dot in the center.
The pinecone has then been mounted to a label style tag that has been stamped, embossed and tied with pretty trim.
These tags took just minutes to put together but will add an extra something special to the gifts they adorn. We hope you'll check out the slew of holiday designs in the Just Nick store to craft up some of your own festive tags!
