Happy Monday, Just Nick friends!  It's Jaclyn joining you on the blog today.  I'm excited to kick off the week as the design team shares projects with you that have been inspired by Pinterest. 
As I anticipated this assignment, I knew I'd want to look at my pinterest boards to gather inspiration for Mother's Day cards.
I found this image that I had pinned and immediately knew I could recreate this same type of floral heart with the Stems for Stephanie cut file.
To ensure that my finished design would fit on a standard sized card front, I sized my florals down dramatically, cutting several versions of the file from a pile of scraps of pretty pink patterned papers.  I had fun layering the different shapes and sizes of flowers and love the dimension and texture it adds to my card.
Black enamel dots and a sprinkling of clear sequins add a special finishing touch to the card design.

My second card was inspired by an entirely different piece.  I have long had a thing for wreaths, both in home décor and paper crafting, so it was no surprise that I came across a wreath related image while perusing my boards

. 

When I spotted this image in particular, I knew I could create a similar look by using the inside of the wreath to frame out my sentiment.

I sized the Wreath and Floral Wreaths cut files to fit atop a 5" square card, and printed out a favorite quote on a white cardstock circle to fit inside the layered pieces.

Again, adding a sprinkling of enamel dots, this time in the same color family, creates extra texture and interest.

This was a fun creative challenge and one I'll certainly revisit again.  I hope you'll stick with us on the blog, all week long, to see how each designer interprets this pinterest inspired challenge!
