Hey friends, Rachel here and today I have a layout that is all about Spring and flowers!
I have used the new collection by Pink Paislee Paige Evans Horizon.
I have used two cut files on this layout.
I cut the Floral Spring Ring in a dark coloured paper as I wanted my flowers to contrast.
I used white cardstock measuring 10x10 inches.
Using the release compound path technique I dragged out the petals and then cut. I used an piece of 12x12 paper that had a rainbow of colours which when you are cutting numerous flowers is a perfect way to not have to use many papers.
Once I had filled the flowers within the floral ring I set about creating individual flowers using the Build a Flower 4 cut file. To keep my layout bright and with a spring theme I chose bright coloured papers. I created various sizes and made a total of 12 individual flowers.
Once I had assembled them, I started off with the smaller ones and added these to the centres of the spring ring flowers to create a 3D effect. Once I had done this I then arranged my flowers around an in the ring to create a cascade effect of spring flowers.
I then added my photo and embellished around it. I matted my layout on a bright multi coloured paper, which against the white is a wonderful contrast.
I love how this turned out and it says happy to me!
Building a flower is a great way to add flowers where you get to choose the sizes, and they really are not time consuming.
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week.
