Some people | Laureen Wagener January 26, 2017 07:00
Hi friends -
it's Laureen back with you and I am excited to share my layout for today.
For my layout I used the "Some people" cut file which I had in my library for ages but never got around to use it - until now.
I used my Silhouette to draw it out for me shifted to the left edge and then began piercing holes - a whole lot of tiny holes. After that I used my watercolor pencils in orange, yellow and a nude to fill in the cut file.
Then I searched for thread in matching colors to go along with the colors.
I wanted to trash this a MILLION times during stitching - all those itty bitty spots and it didn't look like anything I had imagined.
After I finished all the stitching I acutally began liking it - this layout really grew on me. Before I started I already knew I would use a big picture on the right and create some sort of border in the middle to cover up the edge of the picture.
I fuzzy cut a lot of florals from the Felicity Jane Maggie kit and layered them in the middle of my page.
At first I thought I would use other embellishments from the kit as well but nothing really felt right so I didn't use any extra embellishments - but I think because of the large amount of stitching and the big picture no embellishments were needed.
I truly hope you enjoyed todays inspiration and bring out your needle -
have a great day!
Laureen
