Hi Just Nick friends!  It's Jaclyn joining you on the blog today to share a new sports themed page I've made using a couple of older digital designs from the store.  Nicole regularly releases so many new designs -  I simply can't keep up!  While it's fun to use the latest and greatest, I have to remind myself to search my library for some of those amazing files that haven't yet found a home in my scrapbooks.

You can't go wrong using stars on a sports page, and there is no shortage of star themed designs in the cut shop.  I chose the Star Background, ultimately sizing it down substantially, to fit among the grid of 3x4" elements I was building.  It makes a nice backdrop for the bold and blue number '3' and really pops against the green patterned paper background.  Plus is adds a bit of fun and loads of texture!

To create my title piece, I used the Marquee Alphabet, which is an old favorite of mine.  Upon first glance, you may not recognize it because I haven't used it in it's intended form.  Rather, I've merely used the outline of each letter, leaving the signature marquee (dotted) design aside for this page.  I stacked my title to fit atop of a 3x4" card and once cut out, adhered it with foam adhesive and embellished with stamps and enamel shapes.

I hope this page has inspired you to dig into your library of 'older' Just Nick designs and pair some of them with your next round of photos and stories!  It was certainly a fun creative exercise for me, and definitely sparked my interest in a few more designs that will likely be gracing the blog in the near future.
