Hi Friends!  And Happy New Year!  As I thought about the new year coming and improvements to make, I am already starting one new routine of weight lifting.  I have put it off, but for me as I get older, I realize how much I need to do it.

I used the new Background 8, and chose fresh colors from a Christmas pattern paper collection.  The colors went with my title of 'Fresh Start Everyday.'  I also used white cardstock on a few places.  Then I trimmed the piece and offset the three to mesh together on my 6x8 layout side.

Then I used another piece for a divider.  All I had to do was add my title and embellishments.  I added my typed journaling to the divider, and a photo onto printed digital paper with a chipboard frame under it to finish.

Hope this inspires you go create your own 2022 layout using the Background 8 as I have and changing the colors, or by using it as one large piece for a 12x12 layout.  Either way works!  Happy New Year!!!

Welcome to the 12 Days of Giveaways here at JustNick Studio.  I'm excited to be sharing Day 4 using the adorable new My GHOmies cut file!

I went with a vintage style pattern paper and then pulled in more coordinating colors from chipboard and solid cardstock.  I used a mix of pattern papers and solid cardstock to back each gnome.  Oh, these little guys are fun.  So many looks to give them.  Traditional Christmas colors in the bright red and green would be adorable too.

I used lots of leftovers from my stash that continued to bring in the GHOmie's woodland look.  The wood frame was from the 'winter time' and more Light Chipboard pieces that I trimmed away from it.  I loved how they gave the postcard feeling with the added 'winter time' there in the corner.  So that is what inspired my title.

My chipboard banner isn't Christmas colors, but it goes with the more vintage Christmas colors, and added to my cute gnomes.

I needed to add some journaling, so I made one decorative 3x4 from the same pattern paper used on the gnomes, and then a pre-made card, that I just typed onto and then added a foam sticker to coordinate with my colors.

GRATEFUL JOURNAL | Nathalie DeSousa November 16, 2021 09:00

Hey there!

Nathalie with you today to share a bit of my Grateful Journal -which has wrapped up, so December Documenting will start soon!-.  I went with a hybrid approach to this year journal, so having Just Nick Design cut files just made it so easy to put this together..

I loved the new  FALL SPLIT FLORALS cut file. So, I pulled my Foil Quill and set to create the image on vellum - but photographing foil is probably one of the trickiest things out there!-

I kept the page simple, and decided to frame the foiled image so that it shimmers on its own.

Here is another one of my entries.  This time, I used the  HAUNTED Cut file and HAPPY HALLOWEEN cut files to print onto my patterned paper, thus creating my title page.

I have to say that I love Nicole's designs and how versatile they are.   So, if you do not have a diecutting machine, you can still use the cut files for your projects.  Be sure to  check them all out
