JustNick Cut File Store

Beautiful | Anna Blades March 19, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you sharing a new layout. Today, I’m using one of the new cut files called Floral Geode. It’s so beautiful and I think is very versatile too.

For my background I chose a gradient patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio, with peach and pink tones. Then, I made splatters with white and pink paint.  I cut the Floral Geode cut file from white cardstock because I wanted it to stand out against the pink background.

I fussy cut some flowers from another paper from the same collection and put them around the cut file to create a kind of wreath.

I placed my picture in the center of the page, inside the cut file, letting some of the flowers overlap on the photo.

For my title, I used a gold foil alphabet thicker with the word “beautiful”. Then, I added some die cuts and puffy stickers to embellish my page.

Finally, I scattered some enamel dots from Felicity Jane Studio around the wreath, emphasizing the paint splatters. I love the spring look of this layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you like this page and it gives you some inspiration. Don’t forget to visit the store every week for new cut files!

See you!

Let your light shine | Anna Blades March 2, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you with a new layout featuring two beautiful Nicole’s designs. For today’s project I decided to create a soft and bright layout using two different cut files: Let your light shine and Fancy florals (coming soon).

Here are the cut files that I used:

I cut the title from white cardstock and use foam dots to give it more dimension. I love how the shadows make it stand out. Also, I used a gold metallic pen to highlight some parts of the letters. As you can see, my picture fits perfectly between the L and the H.

Then, I cut one of the fancy florals two times from white cardstock. And I backed it with vellum to add a soft touch. I placed one below the title and the other one in the upper right corner of the photo, on top of some layers.

Finally, I scattered a lot of gold stars and enamel dots around the design. I think it looks a little bit magical.  The idea of using this title was because of the lightbulb curtain behind my girls.

To create the layout, I used Felicity Jane papers and embellishments. The enamel dots are from Lora Bailora.

I love how it turned out! Now is hanging on the wall of my child’s bedroom. Thank you so much for stopping by today.

See you soon with a new layout and amazing cut files!

This is me | Anna Blades February 19, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you today with a new layout. For today’s project, I’ve used two of the new cut files as die cuts. Because sometimes you don’t have enough die cuts. So, this way, you can create them in any size and color you want.

For my background, I used solid mint cardstock from Felicity Jane Studio. All the design is placed basically in the lower-left corner. First, I made a polka dot background with a stencil and distress oxide ink.

Then, I cut the Leaf Sprig cut file several times from white cardstock. I also cut the Pretty Swag cut file from white cardstock too.

Once I have framed the picture with a piece of patterned paper, I embellished it placing the cut files around it. Since the cut files are white, they make a contrast with the background. And you can see the polka dots peeking through the leaves.

I’ve used a chipboard bit as my title, and some more die cuts to embellish the photo. I also created a little cluster in the upper right corner. I cut a triangle from a striped paper and put another Leaf Spring cut file coming out from behind.

I completed the cluster with the phrase “so sweet” and two more hearts.

Lately, I’m enjoying making very clean and simple pages. Do you like this type of layout? I hope you can find some inspiration in them. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget to visit the shop to see the new cut files every week!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Winter | Anna Blades January 27, 2021 06:30

Hi JustNick friends!

A few weeks ago, it snowed a lot here in Spain (but not a snowflake fell in my city). A friend of mine that lives in Madrid sent me this picture. It’s really awesome because we are not used to it. So, I had to make a layout with this picture. And I wanted it to be as cold as the photo.

First, I cut the Winter Frame cut file from white cardstock. Then, I took a watercolor sheet and drew the circle of the frame on it. And I made the background using watercolors and splatters of white paint.

For my title, I used the Distressed Alpha cut file. I think it has the wintry look I was looking for. I cut the word “winter” also from white cardstock. Then, I glued it with foam dots to add more dimension and depth.

Finally, I add two stickers on the opposite corners and one more on the top of the picture.

I hope you like this icy page. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget to visit the shop to see the new cut files every week.

Have a wonderful week!

Smile | Anna Blades January 14, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you today. This week we are creating projects with the new Triple Layer cut files. There are several designs, and they add a cool look to your projects. That’s what I’ve created for today:

For my layout, I used the Triple Layer Gothic Background. I cut the three layers from yellow, white, and grey cardstock. I glued the three pieces together and put them on top of my background with foam dots to add more dimension.

I chose a striped dot patterned paper for my background and used the leftover cardstock from the cut files to frame it.

Since the background is pretty busy, I didn’t use many elements on my page. I placed a black and white picture of my little daughter in the upper right corner of the page, matted with black cardstock. Then, embellished it with these branches that I cut with a metal die from black cardstock. Also, I put a black label behind the photo.

For my title, I used a large thin alphabet from Felicity Jane Studio, with a puffy sticker with the word “special” on top of it. A very simple design, but I wanted the cut file to be the focal point.

And that’s all for today! These cut files are very fun to use, and I hope you give them a try. Thank you so much for stopping by today and don’t forget to visit the store to find out new cut files every week.

See you soon!

The magic of Christmas December 18, 2020 07:00

Hello JustNick friends!

Anna here with you today, sharing a bit of Christmas Magic. For today’s project, I’ve used two amazing cut files that you could find in the shop.

I started with a light grey cardstock for my background and used a rose gold metallic paint to give some shine. I applied it with my finger and I also did some splatters.

In the photo, my girls are looking a giant luminous star, so I decided to use the Star cluster cut file. I cut it from white cardstock and placed it on the left side of the page using foam squares.

On the right side of the page, I placed my title. I used the Magic of Christmas cut file to create it. I stacked my photo between the title.

To embellish the page, I glued some black and white chipboard circles from Felicity Jane Studio.  Then, I ripped the top and the bottom of the page and put a black star patterned paper behind.

Finally, I wrote my journaling with a white gel pen and scattered sequins all over the page to add more shine.

I hope you like the page, and it gives you some inspiration. Have a wonderful week and a Merry Christmas!!

See you in 2021!

JOY | 12 days of Giveaways | Anna Blades December 11, 2020 07:00 4 Comments

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you with a new layout, featuring this beautiful cut file that is FREE today in the shop for the "12 days of Giveaways". Obviously, it's called "Joy".

I went for a very simple design, and I wanted the cut file to be the focal point of my page. I cut it from white cardstock and backed it with vellum.

I placed it almost in the center of the page, below three square photos of my daughters, and raised it with foam squares to add more volume and depth.

For my background a chose a light craft cardstock. I love how it matches the color of the photos and makes the white stand out.

I also used the word love from the Peace Love Joy cut file, which will be available on December 19th.

With a gold alphabet, I wrote "Christmas 2020" above the photos. The ampersand between Joy and love is from the same alphabet.  To embellish my layout I used some die cuts from the "Merry & Bright" collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I love how it turned out, simple but festive. I hope it inspires you, and remember that you can get this cut file FREE today.

This offer is only valid until midnight CST on December 11th 2020.

No purchase necessary. The correct cut file must be loaded to the cart in order for discount to auto-apply. No refunds will be given. The design will still be available in the JustNick Store for purchase after the discount code expires.

Merry Christmas and happy crafting!!

Magical moments | Anna Blades November 10, 2020 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you today, with this soft and delicate layout. Flowers are my favorite cut files, and this Rosette Bunch cut file it's not an exception. It's delicate but modern.

I started splattering white acrylic paint on a peach and pink patterned paper. Then, I ripped another patterned paper and distressed the edges. I glued all of them together in the middle of the page.

I cut the Rosette Bunch cut file twice from white cardstock and placed both cut files diagonally. I wanted them to be the focal point of my layout. And I didn't back the cut files because I also wanted the background to be seen through them.

Peeking through the cut files I placed some of these textured leaves. They're very translucent, and they give an ethereal look to the page.

For my title, I only use this die cut with the phrase "magical moments".  I thought it was perfect because it matches the color of the papers and the letters are white as the cut files. I raised it and also the photo to give more depth to the page. Also, I framed my photo with a piece of vellum.

Finally, I scattered some enamel dots around the layout, put a flair button on the right top corner of my photo, and wrote my journaling with a white gel pen. The patterned papers and the die cut are from Pinkfresh Studio.

I really love how it turned out. These soft colors are so pretty. I hope you like it too and it gives you some inspiration for an easy use of cut files.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. See you soon with more ideas!

Happy Halloween | Anna Blades October 27, 2020 07:00

Hi JustNick Friends!

Anna here with you today with a new layout. Today's project is about Halloween. Here in Catalonia, we don't celebrate Halloween, but every year it's becoming more popular. Last year my girls wanted to put on these costumes, and they looked so cute.

To create this page, I used all these cut files that you can find in the shop:

I made some mixed media on grey cardstock and then cut the cut files from white and black cardstock. My little daughter is wearing a big witch hat, so this cut file from the Halloween Icons was perfect.

I cut three bats of different sizes to create more sense of depth. Also, the spider webs look great as part of my background.

For my title, I didn't have any purple cardstock to match the color of the layout, so I decided to use my distress oxide inks with a piece of smooth white cardstock. Then I cut it all with my Cameo.

How cute is this phantom? It really seems to be floating thanks to the foam dots. Finally, I scattered some golden glitter stars to add a shiny touch to the page.

I enjoyed so much creating this layout with these amazing and fun cut files. I hope it gives you some inspiration.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and Happy Halloween!!

I don't like photos at all | Anna Blades October 13, 2020 07:00

Hello JustNick friends!

Anna here with you again with a new layout featuring one of the beautiful cut files designed by Nicole. For today's project, I chose the super cute Photo Memories cut file, which I cut large enough to take up most of the page.

I cut the camera from white cardstock and backed it with patterned paper. I raised the small parts with foam to add more dimension to the cut file. And I also stacked the whole camera to the page with a piece of foam too.

For my background, I used a watercolor sheet and made some mixed media with the Magical's from Lindy's. The colors match the papers really well, and it's hard to see it in the photos, but they have a beautiful glossy finish.  I trimmed half an inch from each side, I distressed the edges and put it onto a navy blue patterned paper.

If you look at the picture, you'll see that the title is ironic. My little daughter loves to pose like a model. To build my title, I combined an old Pinkfresh Studio alphabet sticker with the word "photos" from the cut file.

I didn't have any cardstock from the right color, so I mixed some distress oxide inks in a piece of smooth cardstock to get this dark blue. Then, I cut out the word with my Cameo. I think it looks great!

For this layout, I used the gorgeous Daydream Collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I created three floral clusters to embellish my page and change the original star-shaped camera lens for this circle frame die cut.

And that's it! I hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Have a crafty week!
