Fall Days | Majken Pullin October 26, 2019 07:00

Hello crafty friends!  Majken here with you today!  I'm so glad you join us today on the JustNick Studio blog.  Even here in South Texas, we're feeling the early stages of fall.  I love the colors of fall, even if I don't get to see them often!

Today, I'm sharing a layout using the new Autumn Windowpanes cut file.  What's great about a grid cut file is that it simplifies the planning for your project because it divides your project area naturally.  Let's take a look at one way to use the cut file.

I first sized the cut file to approximately 11"x11" and then cut it out of the pretty green patterned paper from the Carta Bella Fall Market collection. My base is white textured cardstock, and I decided to sew the grid and also pop it up with 3D foam squares for texture and dimension.

Then the easy part!  I cut a few squares slightly larger than the grid to put in the empty spaces, and I also backed a couple of the leaf files.

After that, I placed my photo on some burlap for additional texture.

Then I added some stickers, ephemera, and enamel dots.

What will you use the cut file to create?  We'd love to see your projects, so make sure you share them with us and tag us on Instagram!
