Hi friends, Joanna here with you today sharing a very fall themed scrapbook page.  Here in the USA we are just a few days away from Thanksgiving and although it's been one crazy year for us all, there is still much to be grateful for. I'm so thankful for my family, so using 3 different cut files from Justnick I created this page to document me and my girls.
The first thing I did for was cut the Bare Tree cut file nice and big to fill my background. Then, I cut out tons and tons of leaves in different colors. I wanted all the fall feels I could get!
I used the  Grateful cut file for my title. I cut it out about 10 inches and backed it with some pattern paper. I used some pop dots for some dimension and layered it right on top of the tree.
I used the Sights of Fall cut file for my pumpkins. I got rid of the lines so that it cut out as a solid. I tucked those in behind all the piles of leaves. I found that cute little raccoon from the Cozy Days collection by Simple Stories and had to sneak him in by the pumpkins.
Scattering all the leaves around the page makes this page look like fall, which it exactly what I wanted. I hope it inspires you.

Hello Fall! | Morgan Langley October 2, 2017 07:00

Hello crafty friends, Morgan here! I can not believe it is already October! For my layout today I used the "Bare Tree" cut file and made the tree not so bare by using the leaves included in the file and adding them onto my tree!

For my background I added some light pink, yellow, and orange watercolor splatters and cut my leaves from different colored card stock. Some of the leaves have more intricate pieces so I used the "double cut" feature on my Silhouette Cameo to get clean lines. Then I backed them onto white card stock to make them thicker and more durable for stitching. I stitched around them using corresponding thread colors. I love what paper embroidery adds to the layout!

For my photo cluster I used various Dear Lizzy ephemera and some of the cut file leaves that I hadn't yet stitched behind my photo. I also added in some floral pieces I had and a cute flair button with a wood grain background. I love how cute that little bunny piece is and thought it went in nicely!

Thank you for reading! Make sure to check out Just Nick on Instagram to see more fun posts using the fall cut files and follow me on Instagram @morewithmorganl for all my crafty updates! Also make sure to go to the Just Nick store to get some of these beautiful files!

BOO! | Laureen Wagener October 28, 2016 07:00

Boo you cut file fans -

it's Laureen with you today, finally again! I missed writing blog posts ;)

I hope you enjoyed Halloween week so far? I for sure did!

The project the girls came up with were amazing!

Unfortunately, Halloween isn't a big deal were I live in Germany and therefore no one here celebrates it - the kids get their candy anyways and we get to dress up in February/ March for carnival.
If you ask me - I truly miss it! I would love to celebrate Halloween partys, go trick or treating - yes 22 year olds want their candy too ;) - and just decorate. But oh well! Therefore I couldn't come up with a layout for my post - since I wouldn't have ONE picture to use.

I decided to wrap things up and create 3 cards - 2 traditonal regular cards and one that is a tag and can be perfectly used as invitations!

For this tag I used the Pumpkin Tags cut file and cut one of the tags with the face and one just as the outline.

I then traced the tag and cut a sheet of transparency to layer behind my pumpkin. I used Distress Inks in different yellow and orange shades to make my pumpkin look like a pumpkin and adhered some black cardstock behind.

Then I just punched a hole and set a black eyelet and this first project was done!

For the BOO card I decided to use the Web Background as a stencil and really love the effect it gives!

I simply cut it out out of some cardstock, adhered it to my card and used purple Distress Inks over it.

For the sentiment I simply cut the BOO from 31 and used Black Soot Distress Ink over it, sprinkled some black Heidi shine over it and called it done ;)

Last but not least I knew that I wanted to create a scene - now since we don't really do Halloween, I don't have any Halloween stamps - and usually I use stamps for cards all the time!

I looked at the files and found the Bare Tree one, which I cut out and used Black Soot Distress Ink over it. Then I also cut out a pupkin from Build a Jack and the ghost from 31 to use as accents for the card.

The background was made using different shades of purple Distress ink and came together easily ;)

I hope I could help inspire you to create a few cards to give away last minute or to make a quick and easy Halloween invitation!

Have a happy Halloween and stay safe!

Laureen
