Hello Spring planner setup March 31, 2017 07:00
Hello!!! I'm so excited to be sharing my project for today. Which is really just an alternative idea because my printer is acting really strange and I don't have any photos to use for a layout ha! But I like what I did instead so it's still win-win! :) I hope you will like it as much as I do.
I used this really cute flower cut files (Basic Flowers) to make some paper clips (and a sort of shaker paper clip too!).
I said sort of a shaker paper clip because it doesn't shake that much lol! I cut the circle too tight and I didn't have much room for a teeny tiny foam tape to add height to the first layer of the shaker clip. I know what I'd need to do so it'll be a "real" shaker clip next time.
I also used the "Hello Spring" cut file but only used the word "hello". Originally, I thought of using one of my A5 planners. But the colors didn't match well so I used my personal teal and white from Webster's Pages instead.
I use this personal planner for things all about home (bills, savings, meals and other miscellaneous stuff for the home).
I made an envelope too, for bills money etc. I just used a clip as closure (just because I couldn't find my white velcro tape).
I just love the colors and florals! I am not a fan of purple but it's one of the colors that come to mind when you say "Spring". This isn't really Easter themed but more on the flowers of Spring.
Look how cute these clips are! They're like flowers in a garden!
That's all for me today.
Have a great weekend ahead everyone!

Cards featuring March cut files March 23, 2016 07:00
Hello Just Nick friends! It's Jaclyn joining you on the blog today.
In my little part of the world, the weather is beginning to warm and the trees are starting to bloom. That fact has me itching to infuse everything floral and springy into my crafting projects. Lucky for me, Nicole has released lots of fun and pretty cut files this month that fulfill these requirements.
I used two of the recent March released cut files to put together this fun and pretty duo of cards.
The basic flowers were just asking to be layered. I sized down the file to fit within the constraints of my standard sized card front. Cutting the flowers from a variety of colors and patterns and adjusting their size to layer atop one another, creates a fun and textural design. Sequins, buttons and enamel buttons make perfect flower centers when the cut file is sized down like this.
My next card uses a mini version of the Floral Burst Background. I cut three identical cuts of this file out of white cardstock and layered them atop of one another to give my diecut piece more substance and dimension. Layering a variety of pretty patterned papers behind the cut file, makes the petals shine and the flower come alive.
Be sure to stop by the blog again on Saturday for some more great spring inspired designs that will be loaded to the store. I'm pretty certain, you're going to love them!

Scrappy Pals - PageMaps Inspired Layout March 15, 2016 07:00
If you are a sketch fan and a digital cut file fan then the past few blog posts have been right up your alley! Today I have another layout to share to add to the PageMaps/Just Nick collection seen here recently!
I incorporated the one of the flowers from the Basic Flowers set and the Butterfly Background file into this layout that is based on an 8.5x11 sketch from Becky. You can see the full collection of March sketches HERE; the sketch that this layout is based upon is the second from the bottom.
The butterfly background file I cut from vellum for a subtle effect of the butterflies flitting across the watercolored background. The flower is a soft peachy/pink color that stands out a tad more but is still subtle. I really wanted the picture to be the main focus of the page with the cut files melded into the background.
The main cluster of the page is more prominent and rather "adherent" to the sketch. while the cut files are more of my substitution for the half circles and banners sticking out from the top of the cluster.
Don't forget to use the code PAGEMAPSFREE at the Just Nick store from now until April 30, 2016 to grab any one design of your choice for free! Pair it up with a PageMaps sketch and be sure to share it with us on FaceBook or Instagram!
