JustNick Cut File Store

BEACH BABE | Nathalie DeSousa July 17, 2020 07:00

Hello there!

Nathalie with you today to continue with the Summer Fun theme of the week.  We are slowly returning to a new-normal life here in Toronto, but we are still not allowed to travel outside of Canada for recreational purposes.  So, we are still dreaming of past summer adventures, and hoping for the ones to come.  This prompt me to pull a picture of my niece for this page.

There are so many new cut files in the JustNick shop that it was easy to mix-n-match with older ones in a page.

I wanted to create a texture background that will tell the story of the picture.  So, i copied the new "BEACH BABE" cut file a few times, then angle the design, welded the images together, and cut it from white cardstock.

I used the same cut file to cut the inside letters of the image from patterned papers ( Prima's Surfboard collection).   To assemble the background, i first glued the white cutout onto the background, then used foam adhesive to attach all the patterned paper letters to the cut out.  I used double foam adhesive for the ones next to the pictures, so that they serve as the title of the page.

The background created large impact on the page, so i kept the embellishments to a minimum, and opted to use the BOHO FLORALS Cut file to create a few floral die cuts from shimmer linen paper.   A few lines of journal and enamel dots complete the page.

Remember to stop by the JustNick shop to check all the cutfiles that i used for this page.  I think you will find lots of new designs and inspiration there.
