12 Days of Giveaways - Day 9 | Merry Christmas | Becki Adams December 9, 2021 07:00 2 Comments
Hello Just Nick Studio friends! Becki here to share some simple Christmas cards with you for day 9 of the 12 days of giveaways. The free cut file for today is the "Merry Christmas 3" cut file.
These cards are simple but eye catching and easy to make! The Merry Christmas 3 cut file makes creating these cards a breeze.
I went with a non traditional color scheme for these cards. Sometimes, I like to change things up. This time, I changed it up and made these cards with a cool color palette of teal, purples, and blue. I wanted these designs to be easy to reproduce so I used strips of cardstock to create the backgrounds on each of these cards. The "Merry Christmas 3" cut file makes adding sentiments to these cards SO easy! I filled an entire 12x12 cutting mat with the cut files so that I had sentiments for several cards.
Each card has 4 sentiments stacked together to create a "chipboard" effect. I love giving my cards a little bit of dimension. On this card, I adhered many 1/8" x 4" strips of cardstock. Then, I adhered the Merry Christmas sentiment. For a last minute finishing touch, I added a few iridescent sparkles.
This card is similar to the first but comes together much quicker. On this one, I adhered 1/4" strips of cardstock at an angle across the card panel. Again, I stacked the Merry Christmas sentiment I the middle of the cardstock strips. And again, I added a few sparkles to finish the card.
I cannot wait to see what you create with the FREE Merry Christmas 3 cut file!!
This offer is only valid until midnight CST on December ENTER DAY AND YEAR at midnight CST.
No purchase necessary. The correct cut file must be loaded to the cart in order for discount to auto-apply. No refunds will be given. The design will still be available in the JustNick Store for purchase after the discount code expires.
Happy Holidays and happy crafting!!
Today by Becki Adams November 22, 2021 07:00
I had SO much fun with these cute cut files!!
I cut the title "today" and many flowers and leaves out of white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I backed all of the pieces with brightly colored patterned paper. I love backing cut files in the evening while I'm watching tv with my husband. I always have a crafty project in my hands!!
When I put the layout together, I adhered the cut files with foam adhesive to give them some dimension. I created a frame along the top and both sides of the layout.
In the center of the flowers, I added stickers to create some interest and dimension. In the middle of the layout, I added my photos and journaling. The journaling is typed and adhered on two tags.
I am so happy with the way this project came together. These cut files are so cute and so fun to play with!! I would love to see what you're creating with these cut files.
Thank you for stopping by the Just Nick Studio's blog. I'll meet you here again soon with a fun Christmas themed project. Happy crafting, friends!!
Autumn Wreath Layout by Becki Adams November 10, 2021 12:30
Hello Just Nick friends and fans, Becki here to share an Autumn Wreath layout with you. December is right around the corner but I'm holding on the last few days of Fall before snow and the holidays arrive. I fell in love with the Autumn Wreath cut file when I saw it in the Just Nick store.
Happy Halloween by Becki Adams October 31, 2021 07:00 2 Comments
Happy Halloween Just Nick friends and fans, Becki here to share a layout with you that I created using two Halloween themed cut files.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Last year, we spent Halloween with my brother and his family in Oregon. We were so excited to spend the day with cousins that we don't get to see very often.
For the title of this page, I chose to use the Happy Halloween cut file. I cut the title out with black cardstock. This cut file has thin lines. I LOVE the look of the thin lines.
I adhered each letter using liquid glue to patterned paper. I wanted each letter to be backed with a different patterned paper. I am THRILLED with how this titled turned out.
I also cut out two spiderwebs out of black cardstock to go on the top and bottom of the background. These spiderwebs give the perfect, subtle detail on the black background.
If you'd like to see how this entire layout came together, you can watch the process video HERE on my YouTube channel.
Thanks for stopping by the Just Nick blog today. Have a happy and safe Halloween. Happy crafting!!
Thankful | Becki Adams October 11, 2021 08:00
This is such a fun, easy cut file to play with and it makes the PERFECT large title. Instead of creating a traditional Thanksgiving layout with turkey and all the trimmings, I chose to create a gratitude layout.
This cut file is cut out of white cardstock about 10.5 inches tall. I backed the cut file with patterned paper from the Bungalow Lane collection.
On each side of the cut file, I adhered a 3x4 photo and a few embellishments. The journaling is on a tag tucked behind the photo in the upper right corner.
I'm so happy with how this project came together! If you'd like to see how this project came together, you can find a full process video HERE.
I can't wait to see what you create with the Thankful cut file. Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with family and friends.
Fall by Becki Adams September 28, 2021 07:00
This is such a fun, fall project with nontraditional colors.
I cut the "fall" cut file out of white cardstock and backed it with liquid glue and patterned paper. I used a strong liquid adhesive and adhered the cut file to the background with foam adhesive.
To embellish the layout, I cut three butterflies from white cardstock. In the center of each butterfly I added a line of liquid glue and adhered them to scraps of patterned paper. Then, I fussy cut around each butterfly. By adding liquid glue to the center of the butterflies but not the wings, I was able to give them lots of dimension by carefully pulling the wings away from the patterned paper.
I love how this project came together. I cannot wait to see what you create with the Fall and butterflies 4 cut files. Happy crafting!!

Here in Idaho, USA, we're soaking up the last few days of summer before fall arrives. When I found the cool treats cut file, I knew I had the perfect photo and story to tell to go with these cute little popsicle cut files.
These popsicles are SO cute!! I backed them with bold patterned papers from the Sunny Days collection by Simple Stories.

I wanted this cut file to make a big impact on this layout so I cut it very large out of white cardstock. I backed the cut file with beautiful tone-on-tone patterned papers.
For texture and dimension I stitched yellow buttons into the center of each flower. I love the bit of whimsy that the buttons added to the cut file!
When I adhered the cut file to the background of my layout, I adhered the center of the cut file with strong liquid adhesive. The outer edges of the cut file are adhered with foam adhesive to create some dimension and shadowing.
This floral cut file is gorgeous and a MUST HAVE!! I cannot wait to see how you use this cut file. Have a wonderful week, happy crafting!!
The Last Happy Meal | Becki Adams June 5, 2021 08:00
Hello friends, Becki Adams here. I'm thrilled to join the JustNick creative team. I'm having so much fun creating with JustNick cut files. I'm excited to share the projects that I create!
The first cut file I downloaded to create with was the half rainbow. I couldn't wait to back and do some hand stitching with this cut file.
Of course, I used a rainbow of colors to back this cut file. I made sure to adhere the patterned papers very well before stitching along the sides of each patterned paper strip within the cut file using coordinating embroidery thread.
This is a simple cut file that makes a BIG impact. I will be using it over and over again!! It's such a fun design!
Thank you for stopping by the JustNick blog. Make sure you come back tomorrow for another amazing project from the JustNick creative team. Have a wonderful weekend!
