JustNick Cut File Store

This Moment | Kelly Barron September 9, 2019 07:00

Hey friends! It's Kelly and today I have a layout to share using two cut files from the store. This week we are continuing to focus on using words on our projects. There are some great files to choose from in the store and I am sure that you will be able to find something that you like for your project.

For my layout I used the This Moment  cut file for my tiltle, and the Boho Florals 2 cut file for my clusters.

I used Felicity Jane papers and embellishments to create this layout. I did add some foam underneath the title to give it a bit of dimension.

Since my title contained several different patterns, I backed the florals with vellum.

The leaves of the cut file are dainty so I added just a tiny bit of wet adhesive to glue them down. I don't mind that they are not 100% stuck to the page because it adds a bit of dimension to the page. The layout will be protected in a page protector so I don't worry about them getting messed up.

I love how this layout came together. Using a word file not only helped me create a beautiful layout, but it was a great starting point for my journaling. Be sure and check out the Just Nick  store for more great words to use on your projects.

Travelers Notebook | Jaclyn Rench February 13, 2018 07:00

Hi Just Nick friends, it's Jaclyn joining you on the blog today.  Have you jumped on board the Traveler's Notebook trend?  I have and I'm officially smitten!  Something about a smaller canvas and a new set of background dimensions really has me inspired.  Add in the fact that I can use up plenty of my paper scraps, stamps, bits of washi and most importantly size down my favorite cut files - what's not to love?!

If you've followed my posts on the Just Nick blog over the years, you'll know that it's no secret that the floral cut files get a lot of use on my pages and projects.  The Boho Floral design is one that I have reached for over and over, so I was surprised to find that I had not yet used the second version, Boho Florals 2.  When cut from a metallic, matte, rose gold cardstock it was the perfect accessory to accompany this photo of my new favorite glass of rose.

I cut two version of the design (there are actually three included with the purchased file) and backed the small flowers with a solid yellow paper to add just another small pop of color to my spread.  I tucked the cut designs below and to the right of my photo, framing out the left lower edge and giving it more presence and texture.

The frills and stems really add softness and femininity to this otherwise clean and graphic layout.

We would love to see how you are including Just Nick designs in your Travelers Notebooks.  Tag us on Instagram with hashtag #justnickstudio.  I know for certain that I'll be back soon to share how I'm incorporating these digital designs onto my spreads!
