Hello crafty friends !

 

It's Sophie here today and I am thrilled to share this layout with you !

 

 

This week's theme is "Stencil Fun". Using cut files as a stencil is a great and different way to create a page, and it is so inexpensive compared to buying a stencil too !

 

For my page today, I used the beautiful Brick Circle cut file.

 

 

I put it in the center of a white thick cardstock, slightly adhered it with washi tape to make sure that it stands in place, and applied dry Distress Oxide Inks on it with a blending brush to create a brick wall on my background. I used the "Tattered Rose" and the "Speckled Edd" colors. Then, I removed the cut file and mixed the inks with water to add a few splatters of color on the cardstock. I adore the result !

 

 

My page is about my daughter cooking and decorating brownies all by herself. You can tall how proud she is !!

 

I used a beautiful collection from P13 called "Around the Table" to create my layout. I cut out a Pocket Life card and machine stitched around it with white thread, and fussy cut beautiful kitchen embellishments that I clustered around my photo.

 

 

I also cut a strip of patterned paper as well as two strips of cardstock that were cut with border punches and adhered them at the base of the page.

 

I added a beautiful bow made out of a die and some enamel dots here and there as the finishing touch.

 

This layout came together easily and I couldn't be happier with this brick wall made out of the JustNick cut file !

     Hey crafty friends! Today I am continuing with our weekly theme of backgrounds! For my layout I used the "Brick Circle Background" and I love how easy it was to work with! This file is so versatile and can be used to document any photo with any collection! I love backing cut files with patterned papers because it makes the page so colorful and fun! For this layout I used Maggie Holmes Carousel collection to do so! 
      I cut my file on white card stock and then went to cutting the pieces to back it. A trick I have learned with backing cut files is to save the negatives of the file on your cut mat and then use those pieces as a template to cut your patterned paper around (leaving a little extra space for adhering)! Then I can just cut the amount of patterned paper that I need! 
     Then I embellished! The fun part! I fussy cut some of the florals from the collection and used the chipboard sticker sheet, puffy stickers, and ephemera pack. I love the zebra and bunny carousel pieces! So cute! I added a chipboard "celebrate this" banner sticker for my title.

Using lots of cut files on a layout doesn't have to be scary or complicated and we hope you are seeing that this week!  And today I am going to share a not so scary Halloween layout that uses four different files from the Just Nick Store.

I started off using one of my favorite files the Brick Circle Background.  In this case I used it as a way to pull in some extra color and texture to my background.  That extra orange really helps my pictures pop off the page!

The Handcut Letters 2 are so unique and kind of fit with my "tiger" title because of the stripe!  The bats come from the brand new Spooky Stuff file.  I folded their wings up to give them some added dimension.

The Doodle Frames were perfect for mounting over my pictures and adding another pop of color. He certainly is Too Cute to Spook and I think he will be just that again this year!  Have fun experimenting with multiple cut files - you never know how great they can look until you give it a try!

Hello friends! Happy Wednesday! It's Lee-Anne here today with another layout using Just Nick Cut Files.  For this week the challenge is to use three or more cut files on a project.  I haven't scrapped a boy layout for a while so I thought I'd scrap one of my youngest son when he was ten years old.

 For this layout, I used four different cut file sets from the Just Nick Shop.  Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut the Brick Circle on white card stock and backed it with a piece of patterned paper.  For the dimension, I added small foam squares that I cut in half and adhered to the backside of the card stock.  I love the shadows and dimension it gives the background.

 I cut the title "Cool Dude" from the All Boy Cut Files as well as the star inside the circle cut file from the All Boy Cut Files and added them to the layout.

 The words "remember today" were cut from the Word Brushstrokes Cut File and added to the top left hand corner of the layout over the white card stock so it was legible.

 Finally I added the "awesome" word tab from the Word Tab Cut Files and the "smile" .
