JustNick Cut File Store

Hello everyone! It's Kelly and today I have a layout to share using the gorgeous Butterfly Circle cut file.

I love butterflies and this cut file was perfect to use for this sweet photo of my mom.

The colors of the Horizon collection matched my photo perfectly, so this file was perfect to use many of the different patterned papers.

Stitching is one of my favorite ways to add texture to a layout. I forgot to check my settings on my sewing machine and started to stitch using the zig zag stitch. I embraced the mistake and added a few more zig zag stitches to the butterflies while alternating straight stitching.

This cut file is perfect to showcase your patterned papers and minimize the use of embellishments. It's the perfect way to stretch your supplies. I always run out of my favorite embellishments before I use all of my patterned paper.

The finishing touch for this layout was white splatters. Be sure to stop by the store and check out this gorgeous Butterfly Circle cut file. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope that you have a great day!

xoxo, Kelly

Well today I have my last DT share as part of the Justnick team. I have had a wonderful two years creating for Justnick and have LOVED using the stunning cut files.

I have used one of the new releases, the fab Butterfly Circle.

I have used Horizon collection by Paige Evans. I sized the Butterfly Circle to just under 12x12 inches. I then chose three colours to back the individual butterflies in the circle. I used the release compound pathway function and then dragged out the pieces I needed to cut, with this method you can back the smallest of pieces with precision or use many different papers to back your cut files.

I added machine stitching to the centre of each butterfly and finished off with a enamel butterfly (from the Horizon collection). I also added a row of machine stitching around the circle to add more texture.

I added my photo with foam tape, I used a die cut frame from the collection knowing I wanted to tuck embellishments under it. I then set about creating embellishment clusters around my photo.

I created two floral clusters to each side of my photo/frame. I created sub titles by adding sentiments on the floral clusters.

I added some small flower die cuts to a larger sized heart and added to the bottom of my photo/frame with foam tape. As you can see this layout has lots of height and dimension.

I added my large title bending it slightly to follow my circle.

I have had a wonderful creative time on the justnick DT and know that I will continue to use the fab cut files on my layouts. Thank you so much for your support and I hope that I inspired you in some way over the last two years.
