JustNick Studio, Cut Files, Traveler's Notebook, Cherry Blossom Frame
Happy First Day of Spring!!!  I wanted to bring a very fresh, airy, and definitely Spring project to the blog today.  Falling in love with both my trip to Japan several years ago and the new Cherry Blossom Frame made this project come together so easily!

I cut the file as is without resizing it.  It fit perfectly across my Traveler's Notebook!  I didn't even cut it in half.  I just stitched all the way around with my sewing machine, and used liquid glue to glue down the edges and secure it in the middle.  It opens and closes perfectly.

But before I adhered it to my pages, I decide to add watercoloring behind the cut file instead of backing it with papers to create that light, airy feel!  Once dry and the cut file in place, all I did was type my journaling on white cardstock, added more machine stitching to continue that subtle textured look, trimmed into strips and adhered to the left and the right.

Then I added my stamped title, tucking it under some of the cut file, added the Adventure stamp near the photo, and then started adhering embellishments.

The last thing I added was a little more stamping under the photo!  FYI, this photo is from pre-digital days, so I had to scan it and re-print it.  The cut file with the watercoloring under it really helps to give this old photo a fresh look!

This makes me want to take on scanning a few more of these photos from this amazing trip.  Hope it inspires you to do the same and use some of the beautiful new fresh cut files from JustNick to get you inspired and started!
