Sweet Puppy Love by Sophie Delorme December 21, 2020 07:00

Hello crafty friends !

It's Sophie with you today !

Christmas is finally arriving in a few days ! So I thought I'd share a little Christmassy layout with you, using the beautiful Tree Trio 2 cut file.

I started with a dark background using a dark gray Bazzill cardstock as my base and adding splatters of white acrylic paint to mimic snowflakes.

I cut the cut file a few times in different sizes with my cutting machine on white cardstock, and backed each of the trees with patterned papers from the beautiful "Snowflake" collection from Crate Paper.

I used two photos of my daughter Sabrina with our dog Fiona cuddling in the kitchen. I backed them with tissue paper and adhesive foam and centered them on my page.

I teared big shunks of patterned papers that I put on the bottom of the page, creating little mounts and valleys to ground the trees.

I also added a white scalloped border with a border punch.

I scattered the beautiful trees around the photos.

I added snowmen and start stickers from the same collection around the trees and in the "sky".

My title is a mix of different American Crafts Thickers and stickers.

Finally, I wrote down my journaling on a Pocket Life card and stamped the date.

I love the soft feel to the page and the non-traditional Christmas color scheme !

Here are more close-ups.

I hope that I inspired you to use this beautiful cut file to highlight all your lovely Christmas memories !

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and will see you very soon, in 2021 !

Santa | Kelly Barron December 17, 2019 07:00

Hello friends! It's Kelly and I have a fun layout to share today using the Christmas Tree  cut file.

Every year I take my kids to see Santa and I have an album of layouts documenting their visit to Santa. It is one of my most cherished albums.

To create this layout I first backed the cut file with glitter and patterned paper. The smaller ornaments on the cut file cut separately, but I decided to leave them off and use my stash of enamel dots to decorate the tree.

The final touches for the layout included a few stickers and twine wrapped around the photo. I did pop one of the ornaments up with foam squares for a bit of added dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope this layout inspires you to create something like it did for me. Happy Holidays!
