I made a second page to share with you all today

I used one of the exclusive cut files created by Just Nick Studio for the June Kit "La Dolce Vita" featuring Elle's Studio Little Moments.

I clustered several pieces of the cut files under the photo and layered bits and pieces of embellishments as well

After writing a bit of journaling using a waterproof pen, I used my brush to flicker tiny bits of diluted gelatos and let it totally dry.

Hello Summer - Apostle Islands June 13, 2016 07:00

Hello JustNick friends!

Marcia here today. The JustNick Studio design team has been busy creating with the June Clique Kit. This fabulous kit features the Elle's Studio Little Moments collection, Jillibean Soup Healthy Hello, and of course some Clique Kit exclusives ... like these awesome JustNick Studio digital cut files! 

I love adding sun rays on my summer layouts. I couldn't resist using the sunshine icon in a big way on this vacation layout. I pieced some yellow Elle's Studio paper in the negative space that was from the 6x6 paper pad. This is a great way to use those smaller pieces of paper!

Last summer hubby and I escaped to the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior for an extended weekend. The only way to get to the island is by boat ... in our case it was the Madeline Island Ferry. The best part of all was going off grid. Yup no cell phone service except for in the town of La Pointe! No way for our 9 to 5 jobs to call us while we were on vacation!! It was pure bliss.  You are probably wondering what the heck that sign says! The Ojibwa Indian sign on my layout was at the beach. It says "No Life Guard On Duty ... No Diving Or Jumping From Bridge ... Swim At Your Own Risk". The Islands are beautiful and I had so many photos from our trip that I decided to create a couple filmstrips of images. I didn't want my layout to be too busy though so I added the Hello Summer icon in the middle. This worked out well for setting off my title too.

I created a second layout using those darling butterflies and my daughter Naomi's fur baby! Princeton is a Corgi and Border Collie mix we think. He was adopted through a local rescue.

Hi everyone.  It's Heather and I don't know about you but I love designing with sketches, especially PageMaps sketches.  I use them as a general guide to my design as evidenced below.

The sketch called for one large portrait photo, as shown above plus 2 smaller portrait photos above, where you see the tags. The rest of the design follows the sketch fairly close. 

I used the Birthday Sentiments cut file and the heart from the exclusive files Nicole created for the Clique Kits team up in February.  You can use the Broken Heart cut file to achieve the same effect.

I added layers of papers, ephemera, stickers, banners, etc to give the page a celebratory effect.

Hi everyone,

I hope you were able to make it to our joint blog hop, this past weekend, with Clique Kits. I had a lot of fun using their February Hot Mess kit and, of course, using the awesome cut files from Nicole. Today I'm sharing the page I created for the blog hop. It's a fave!

I love layering and layering cut files is just as fun as layering pattern paper! For this page, I duplicated that awesome art in various sizes. Then, cut them out and layered a couple of the smaller ones on the top right. 

I cut out the word Shine and used some of the mist, from the kit, to color it up. LOVE that color, don't you???

This layout is documenting a milestone in my life after working really hard on my health in 2015. It's just the beginning! And what a fabulous kit to work with, too!
