JustNick Cut File Store

Thankful For You Layout | Yarelys Rodriguez October 14, 2021 07:00

Hey there JustNick friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys here to share with you my new layout.

For this layout I used the Background 6 cut file.

I started my layout by painting a white cardstock with different tones of blue to make an ombre effect. Then, I used it to cut my cut file.

Now it’s time to build my layout! I didn’t want the cut file to be a square, so I teared it and glued it to a white cardstock. Then, I glued my photo on top and added flowers from the Bungalow Lane collection.

For my title I used a piece of ephemera and the thickers of the collection. To finish my layout, I added thickers, chipboard, epoxy and puffy stickers.

I love how this layout turned out. Hope you all like it and get the inspiration to create beautiful things. Be sure to stop by the JustNick store and check out the new cut files. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a lovely day!

To start my layout, I painted two white cardstocks in rainbow colors and used them to cut the cut file. Then I used the labels to make my background.

Once my background was done, I glued my photo with adhesive foam to create dimension. To finish my layout, I added stickers from the April Kits, from Hip Kit Club, and some epoxy flairs from Scrappin Happy Studio.

Live Life In Full Bloom Layout | Yarelys Rodriguez June 10, 2021 07:00

Hey there JustNick friends! Yarelys here to share with you my first layout as a member of the JustNick Design Team!

For this layout I used the Floral Cluster and Basketweave Background 2 cut files.

I started my layout by painting the Basketweave Background cut file. For this I used three different tones of pink to make an ombre effect. I also did some mixed media for my background. While my background dried, I backed the Floral Cluster cut files with two papers from the March Hip Kit.

Once my background dried, I glued the cut files and my photo. I also added some floral die cuts, my title, puffy stickers and epoxy flairs.

TOGETHER RIGHT NOW by Sophie Delorme September 11, 2020 07:00

Hello JustNick friends !

It's Sophie here today and I am sharing a colourful layout with you !

I used one of the newest cut file in the shop called Boho Florals 3:

I started my design with a white background, playing with mixed media, applying some Distress Oxide inks diluted with water using the packaging technic on my water-colour cardstock.

I cut the cut file on white cardstock as well, and backed it with the beautiful Paige Evans collection named "Truly Grateful" from Pinkpaislee. I carefully stitched the flower with white thread and mounted the centre piece of the flower on adhesive foam for a little extra dimension.

I adhered the cut file on the colourful part of my background to make it stand out.

I put layers of tissue paper, adhesive foam and patterned papers behind my photo and adhered it on the right side of the cut file.

I fussy cut plenty of beautiful flowers and leaves from the Truly Grateful patterned papers and added them to the cut file, and around my photo.

The words of the title are stickers from the same collection.

Finally I wrote down my journaling and added the date !

This page came together easily and quickly, and that's what I like so much about cut files ! Isn't this floral cut file a pure delight ?!

I hope I have inspired you to use it in your own way !

Here are more close-ups.

Some People / Leslie Berner July 19, 2018 07:00

Hello! It's Leslie on the blog today!
I hope you are all doing well and that you are scrapping those beautiful photos!
I was busy scrapping a photo of me and my hubby today.
I had this idea, and in a perfect universe the layout would look perfect and the mixed media would be perfect, and it would be perfect! But we do not live in a perfect world, and my perfect mental layout did not turn into my perfect physical layout. Okay I'm done saying perfect!
I used the Some People cut file.

I cut the file out of Bazzill Marshmallow paper as I knew I wanted to do a lot of mixed media. I got a set of Distress Oxides and I couldn't wait to use them.
I tried to create a rainbow effect with the Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides, which I only applied to the to the right hand side of the cut file.

I needed the cut file to pop off the page more, so I out lined the letters with a fine tipped black pen. I then decided to add some Distress Oxide to the background. I basically just placed the ink pad face down on the paper and swiped it across. It created this really cool textured effect. I added some tiny water splatters on the background and watched as the magic of the Oxide started doing it's thing!
I adhered the cut file to the center of the page and decided to place my photo to the right of the cut file, as my husband and I are facing the camera but turned slightly towards the left, that way we were angled towards the center of the page.
I had no idea what I wanted to do next. I even felt that I wanted to give up on this layout, I didn't have a scrapbook collection in mind that I wanted to use, so I was seriously lacking in the inspiration department.
Usually when I feel like I'm in a rut, I doodle around the outside of the page, and that gave me the idea to take my ink brush tipped pen and doodle some flowers around the page. The black of the ink added just the right amount of contrast to the colorful and bright rainbow! I also added some Heidi Swapp Black Color Shine.
Here are some close ups...

I hope this inspires you to not give up on your layouts. Remember, trust your creativity, and dive into it.
Here is the Process Video to this layout!

See you soon!!
