JustNick Cut File Store

TOGETHER RIGHT NOW by Sophie Delorme September 11, 2020 07:00

Hello JustNick friends !

It's Sophie here today and I am sharing a colourful layout with you !

I used one of the newest cut file in the shop called Boho Florals 3:

I started my design with a white background, playing with mixed media, applying some Distress Oxide inks diluted with water using the packaging technic on my water-colour cardstock.

I cut the cut file on white cardstock as well, and backed it with the beautiful Paige Evans collection named "Truly Grateful" from Pinkpaislee. I carefully stitched the flower with white thread and mounted the centre piece of the flower on adhesive foam for a little extra dimension.

I adhered the cut file on the colourful part of my background to make it stand out.

I put layers of tissue paper, adhesive foam and patterned papers behind my photo and adhered it on the right side of the cut file.

I fussy cut plenty of beautiful flowers and leaves from the Truly Grateful patterned papers and added them to the cut file, and around my photo.

The words of the title are stickers from the same collection.

Finally I wrote down my journaling and added the date !

This page came together easily and quickly, and that's what I like so much about cut files ! Isn't this floral cut file a pure delight ?!

I hope I have inspired you to use it in your own way !

Here are more close-ups.

Snap Story | Vicki Parker May 18, 2020 07:00

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with my very last layout for JustNick. I have really loved my term on the design team - Nicole's cut files are fabulous! Today's layout looks like this...

I used two cut files - the first is called Photo Memories and you can find it in store here.

And the second is called Capture Every Moment and is in store here.

I mostly used Maggie Holmes Sweet Story collection for this layout and started by tearing a piece of the rainbow paper to put along the bottom of my layout and to back the camera cut file (which I did as a whole rather than individual pieces).

I then added some clear gesso to my white cardstock and used Distress Oxide Inks to add a watercolour effect on the page in similar colours to the paper.

I mounted my photos with the frames cut on patterned paper and arranged them above the camera - I was going for the effect of showing a sequence coming from the camera itself.

Finally, I embellished with various chipboard and stickers from the collection and the layout is complete.

I hope it inspires you in some way. Thank you for all the love for my layouts over the past year, it's been wonderful working on this team - maybe one day I'll be back ;-)

Floral Lace Background | Kelly Barron March 10, 2020 07:00

Hi friends! It's Kelly and today I am sharing a TN layout that I created using the gorgeous Floral Lace Background cut file.

To begin, I measured the size of the cut file, and then taped off the area with washi tape. I then used distress oxide inks to create my background, using four different colors and blending them together.

I love the way that the background file looks over the distress oxide inks. Since the background makes such a statement, I did not feel the need to use a lot of embellishments. This is a perfect way to stretch your patterned paper and cardstock, especially since I run out of embellishments before I ever use all of my paper.

I chose not to add a title or journaling to this spread since this will be in an album specifically for this trip. I have so many pictures to document and stories to tell that I don't feel the need to do so on this spread.

Be sure and stop by the Just Nick store and browse all of the gorgeous new cut files that have been added. Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that this inspires you to get creative!

Kelly

Forever Loved | Vicki Parker September 13, 2019 07:00

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with my latest layout using the Today, Forever, Always cut file. I decided to focus on the word Forever and make it a big focal point on my page.
The cut file I used can be found in the store here:
I used various papers from the Paige Evans Truly Grateful collection to back each letter of the word as I wanted this page to be colourful and fun - as the letters are quite big, it was super easy to do and didn't take very long at all.
For the background, I used a Vicki Boutin stencil from her Wildflowers & Honey collection and some Distress Oxide inks in colours matching the Truly Grateful collection under each letter.
I used foam to back the word before sticking it over the stencilled area to give it some dimension. The photo tucked under the word at the top and I embellished with various die cuts and fussy cut flowers, leaves and butterflies. I also used some puffy stickers for the rest of the title and some dots around the page. Finally, some Pretty Little Studio clear stickers for the little x's and some mixed media effect.
I hope this inspires you to make a word your focal point on a layout - I definitely had fun making this. Until next time....

No Rain, No Rainbows | Vicki Parker August 28, 2019 07:00

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with my latest layout using the No Rain No Rainbows cut file - I had the perfect photo of my niece with her pink, glittery wellies!

I started by using distress oxides and creating a rainbow across the page and then once dry, I put it through my silhouette to cut the cut file which you can find in store here.

I then covered the background in clear gesso before using some Shimmerz sprays in three shades of blue on the background to represent sky.

To finish the layout off, I embellished with some Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope stickers and two cute Perspextives from Bramble Fox.

It's pretty simple, but I hope it gives you some inspiration on using the cut file - it's such a fantastic one and just begs to be rainbow coloured! Here's one more close up... until next time!
