JustNick Cut File Store
Thankful | Rachel Lowe August 21, 2018 07:00
Today I have a 8.5x11 inch layout with two cut files from the store.
And here is my layout.
I resized the Hearts a Flutter background cut file so it would fit my 8.5x11 inch layout. I cut it in white card stock and then added some blue paper behind several of the hearts for definition and to tie my color scheme together.
I have used Fancy Pants Design The Bright Side collection which os just gorgeous! I adore this photo of my son with his grandparents and wanted my layout to be soft and pretty. My title 'thankful' is about how lucky he is to have such wonderful and loving grandparents. When I attached my title, I slightly curved it and then glued down into place. I ensured my 'thankful' title was a contrast color so it did not get lost against the Hearts a Flutter background. I added a word sentiment from the die cut pack to finish my title off.
I paper layered my photo mat and attached my photo with foam tape. I added the floral bloom die cut and again with foam tape. I finished off adding a heart chipboard piece to the top of my photo, and a gorgeous die cut bird.
I created another element in the bottom corner of my layout, adding another die cut bird over a floral wreath, again I added both with foam tape for a 3D effect.
And as always I added a light splatter of black color shine.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you in some way. See you again soon!

Hi everyone, it's my turn up on the blog today and I'm continuing to work with the All Boy cut file! On my last blog post I used several of the words that came with the cut file, but so as to not waste a single bit of paper I added the word "awesome" before I sent the file through my Silhouette. I didn't know what I would end up doing with it, but I knew that since it was something I could use for almost any layout I decided to cut it. I'm so glad I did, because I used it for this layout! A layout that is definitely All Girl :)
I backed the cut file with bright, bold and fun papers from my stash ( I have some drawers of papers that I keep specifically for the purpose of backing cut files) and then I chopped the word in half so it would fit on my page better, since the background paper I had chosen had an illustration in the lower left hand side. I decided to go for a funky, whimsical, and slightly minimalistic feel, and I experimented with my photo by cutting out my daughter from the background. This is a new technique for me, though I know it's been around for quite awhile. I am super happy with the results!
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look-see today! You can also check out my Youtube channel to see my process video too!

Nathalie with you today to bring you a new Summer project inspired by circles, and some of the store's cut files. My kids love the beach, and i just love using cut files to create a colorful and bright background for these memories.
I wanted a bright and interesting background for the page, so i welded the a few of the Let It Shine images to some of the inside circles of the Totally Tubular Background. Then welded two of these images together.
The colors in the Hello Sunshine collection from Fancy Pants are just perfect to add color and brightness to the background.
Since the background has a lot of interest, a few little extra pieces were needed to completely embellish the page, and complete the visual triangle on the page.
To add the title of this page, I used the recently released By The Sea cut file to cut the sentiment twice from black card stock. I glued the pieces together, and attached them to the page with some foam adhesive.
I hope you also are inspired to look at all the different designs in the Just Nick Studio store; there are so many to chose from. Remember you can contact me with any questions on how this page came together.
See you all soon!

Hey everybody it's Cathy here, back with another layout for JustNick Studio and Scrapbook Circle! The Scrapbook Circle kit for March was loaded with bright colours and funky designs. I really wanted to showcase all of those fun papers and colours so I chose the dreamcatcher background 1. There were lots of awesome spaces to back with papers! I used a small star stamp to create a fun pattern around where my cut file would rest and then popped my file up on some foam for added dimension. Since all the products worked so perfectly together embellishing was a piece of cake! A big thank you to Nicole and Scrapbook Circle for this awesome team up!

Hi friends -
I hope you had a GREAT christmas! Can you believe that the year has almost come to an end?! I for sure can't! Time flies when you're having fun - or are in the hospital for the first half of the year.
I had a great time this year in the amazing Just Nick Team and can't wait to see what next year brings and what great cut files Nicole comes up with - I bet you are as excited as I am!
Today I have a Holiday project for you - I was able to use any design from the store and decided to go festive and scrap a picture of me and my mom at a christmas market.
I just got in the Merry and Bright collection from Fancypants when I started this project and knew I would use it for my layout.
Looking through the cut files I saw the amazing Holiday Tree design. I wasn't quit sure what do with it, but started by cutting it out of regular cardstock.
Then I had the idea to color the design with watercolors and did that - absolutely love the look! I popped everything up on some foam squares and adhered it down to a patterned paper from the collection.
A little embellishing around my picture, some ink splatters and this page was done!
I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will catch up with you in the New Year!

Hello all. Today I have a fun layout to share with you using the Ink Splats cut file. I created this layout awhile ago and just realized that I never shared it on the blog. I think it's because I added the red transparency sheet behind the layout and just forgot about it! I totally want to share this fun layout though... This layout was super fun to make. I simply cut the splats on white cardstock and used it as a template for my layout. Then I grabbed a brush and some paint and went to town.
Once the paint was dry, I used lots of chipboard, puffy stickers, stickers and stamps to complete my layout. :) What do you think? Isn't it fun. Makes me want to pull out my paint again.
