Hi friends -
I hope you had a GREAT christmas! Can you believe that the year has almost come to an end?! I for sure can't! Time flies when you're having fun - or are in the hospital for the first half of the year.
I had a great time this year in the amazing Just Nick Team and can't wait to see what next year brings and what great cut files Nicole comes up with - I bet you are as excited as I am!
Today I have a Holiday project for you - I was able to use any design from the store and decided to go festive and scrap a picture of me and my mom at a christmas market.
I just got in the Merry and Bright collection from Fancypants when I started this project and knew I would use it for my layout.
Looking through the cut files I saw the amazing Holiday Tree design. I wasn't quit sure what do with it, but started by cutting it out of regular cardstock.
Then I had the idea to color the design with watercolors and did that - absolutely love the look! I popped everything up on some foam squares and adhered it down to a patterned paper from the collection.
A little embellishing around my picture, some ink splatters and this page was done!
I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will catch up with you in the New Year!

Hello friends! It's Lee-Anne here and this week some of the design team members at Just Nick are teaming up with Fancy Pants Designs. I created a pet layout on Elly, my daughter's dog, using the beautiful Attwell Collection by Fancy Pants Designs. I love the pretty colors in this collection.
For this layout, I cut several of the Basic Piechart cut file on white cardstock with my Cameo and watercolored with several colors of Ranger Distress Inks and backed them with papers, flair, a tag, some cute sticky notes, and puffy stickers from the Fancy Pants Attwell Collection. I also added some machine stitching to keep the piecharts in place and give some added texture.
For my layout I used the Handcut Letters 2 cut file for the title
and the Basic Piechart cut file.
Check out lots more cut files in the Just Nick store. Thanks for stopping by!
Fancy Pants Designs Week! May 25, 2016 07:00 1 Comment
Nicole here today to share with you a page I made for our team up with the fantastic folks from Fancy Pants Designs!
I used the new Life is Beautiful collection for my page, along with a couple different cut files from the store.
I started by cutting the Butterfly Background from a simple black & white dot paper from the collection and then cut some smaller butterflies from different papers in the 6x6 paper pad in the same collection. I added some pop dots behind the wings of the smaller butterflies and stitched the two together.
I also diecut a border strip from the Scallop Edge Strips set and then a title and embellishments from the Life Is Beautiful collection from Fancy Pants (a new favorite of mine)

Hi everyone! Donna here to share with you my newest page using Just Nick Studio cut files
First thing I did was brush several shades of purple, lavender and blue on the background (gelatos). After the surface has dried, I brushed gel medium all over the background. I placed the Fancy Filigree background cut file to the wet gel medium and brushed some more gel medium on the cut file
For more texture, I used a stencil and whipped spackle after the gel medium dried. Using the shapes from the cut file as template, I traced this over different patterned papers and placed them in random spaces.
Before placing the photo, I gathered lots of light pink thread and adhered it under the photo. Then clustered little bits of ephemera pieces to the right side of the photo
I used different shades of Faber Castell PITT pastel pencils to darken spaces of the cut file background and doodled around the pieces of patterned papers with black pen to make it stand out.
I had a lot of fun making this page. Would you try this kind of background technique on your next layout? Let me know when you do!
I used Clique Kits May kit "Northern Lights" featuring Atwell collection by Fancy Pants Designs

Hello JustNick friends!
Marcia here today. School is winding down here in the states and another of my nephews is graduating! I just received his grad party invite in the mail along with a photo and had to use the new Dreamcatcher_1 digital cut file to scrap it.
I placed my title on the left side of my photo as I did not want to cover up too much of my dreamcatcher. Of course my title had to contain the word dream! To keep the dreamcatcher from being too busy I limited myself to just 3 different pattern papers. I am using the fabulous Fancy Pants Designs Attwell collection. I thought that feather pattern paper in the collection was perfect for the dreamcatcher.
Here is the Dreamcatcher_1 cut file I used...
I wanted to share one more layout with you today using the Bits and Pieces Heart Background digital cut file. The new cut files were so awesome I couldn't wait to scrap with them. I created this one on International Scrapbook Day using my May Clique Kit featuring the Basic Grey Urban Luxe collection and the Fancy Pants Designs Attwell collection.
I pieced the inside of the heart with different pattern papers keeping to a cool color scheme with blues and purples along with some white and black.
Here is the Bits and Pieces Heart Background cut file I used.

Snorkle Fun May 12, 2016 07:00
Hello followers! It's Lee-Anne here on the blog today and I wanted to share a layout of my oldest son snorkelling. He loves to travel and when he goes to tropical destinations, he loves to snorkel.
I had fun with the Bits And Pieces Background cut file and one of my favorite things to do is to back the cut files with patterned paper.
I cut out the Bits & Pieces Background on some white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with some papers from Fancy Pants Design's new Attwell Collection. I love the colors and thought it would make a great summer page.
Here are some more closeups of my layout:

Hello JustNick friends!
Marcia here today. It's Spring and I have been out cleaning out my flower beds to prepare them for planting this year and my husband has already put my water fountain out. He gave me this fountain as an anniversary gift over 15 years ago. I could probably count the material gifts he has given me over the years on one hand, but when he does buy me something, he knows my heart. Keeping this fountain running is a labor of love for him, a gift he continues to give me each year.
That background paper is so beautiful, but I did not want my photos to get lost. Framing them with the Spiral Background cut twice from white cardstock really helps keep them from blending into the background. The spirals are so similar to some of my floral die cuts too.
Some black Stems really pop against all that vivid color.
Here are all the cut files I used today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hey Cool Kids February 23, 2016 07:00 1 Comment
As soon as I saw the awesome Pinwheel background cut file I just knew I wanted to team it with the Fancy Pants Designs 'Be Different' collection! That 'Rawr' flair is the inspiration behind this layout!
My 2 boys are my world, they are the subject of most of my layouts! My eldest received a selfie stick and so this photo is the result of the two of them having some fun using it to take selfies!
The other super cool cut file I used was the All Boy set, I cut the word Cool with some patterned paper and cut the star with black cardstock.
I am loving long titles where I can use many different alphas at the moment...it really makes a great impact on your layout!
