Hello everyone!  Majken here with you today on this almost-spring day.  Today I have a sweet baby layout to share with you using the brand new Floral Banner cut file.  Let's take a look.

I sprinkled a little blue watercolor spatters onto my background paper.  While that dried, I cut the banner from white textured cardstock and then backed the banner and the flowers with patterned paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I wanted to additional dimension for the layout, so I used a chipboard title on top of the pretty banner.  I tucked the photo under the banner slightly after layering some matching patterned paper underneath it.

I also love the butterflies, so I fussycut a few!

I added some ephemera and enamel dots.

Here is the gorgeous new cut file I used for this scrapbook layout.

You can use this pretty banner for so many projects!

I hope you have a great week.

Another Glorious Day | Patricia March 4, 2021 06:00

Hello, Friends!  We have had freezing weather and now we are starting to enjoy some Spring weather, which makes me want to create projects with my favorite Spring and warmer weather memories.  The brand new Floral Banner is gorgeous.

Using a smaller size of the cut file was inspired by me wanting to back the banner part with a photo.  I went through my favorite Spring photos and came across this beautiful peacock I had never scrapbooked.  At first, I was going to use just one color photo, but I wanted the emphasis within the banner and his majestic head.  I printed an additional large photo but in black and white, and loved the effect!

I couldn't help but think of 'another glorious day' from Hocos Pocus.  So fitting for this beauty.  So I used foam alpha stickers at the top of the banner, slightly under it, and then used the Freeflow Alpha cut file to have 'glorious' stand out under him.

To finish this side of my traveler's notebook, I had to add gems to parts of his feathers.

For the right side, I cut Feathers 4 to go along with the peacock theme and balance these pages.

I also used the Floral banner on this side, but used the negative as a mask to create a tone on tone to my background with a pale gray ink.

Added a little stamping, journaling and embellishments to finish.  So love how this came out and glad to have this beautifully peacock in all his glory in my album.

Have a photo like this that would work with this Floral Banner?  Give this technique a try.  Or use it as a large cut file for an amazing title!  Then use that negative and mask a beautiful background.  Have fun!
