I love being your Mom | Donna Espiritu May 23, 2017 12:01

Hello, Just Nick readers!
It's Donna here and I am sharing my second layout for the month.

I used several cut files in this layout. I love layering them to create texture and dimension

I used the Kaisercraft resist paper (which is included in the May kit "Sorbet" by Clique Kit to cut the Floral Swag cut file. You can see it here peeking at the bottom of the stacked photos

And then I tucked here in there the Mini Floral Buds cut file. I kept them white instead of adding color

I used a pink ombre paper to back the cut file MOM and adhered it with foam tape to add a bit of height.

I hope you liked my layout today!

Cut files used:

Floral Swag
MOM
Mini Floral Buds

Happy crafting,

Best Mom | Laureen Wagener April 25, 2017 07:00

Hi friends - Laureen back on the blog!

Today I was assigned to create a project inspired by Spring and I immediatly knew which photo to scrap.

It was my birthday on the 16th of April and we went to the zoo where they had beautiful trees in full bloom all over the place and my mom and I took a few pictures standing by one of the trees. So of course it had to be one of those pictures - because trees in bloom are always screaming: IT'S SPRING!

I scrolled through my cut files from Just Nick and found the beautiful Floral Swag cut file and noticed I had never used it before.
I wanted to make this the focal element of my page so I enlarged it as much as possible and cut it out of the beautiful Pink Paislee Oh my Heart paper.

The open space in the cut file was backed with vellum, as I like the softened effect that gives. Now I've been a bad girl and just noticed as I am writing this post, that I used a few additional cut files that aren't for sale yet. You will be able to snag them next month ;)

I adhered a strip of a wooden paper, because the page looked super naked without it. On top I stuck down my cut file element on some foam squares. I really like the effect that gives - as if the picture is peeking out of the florals.

I embellished with a few chipboard flowers and scattered tons of enamel dots around my page. I am really loving that look lately and may be doing that for several new layouts.

I hope you like todays inspiration!

Onto the next time - happy crafting!

xo, Laureen

Hello Gorgeous | Michelle Whorwood April 07, 2017 07:00

Hi Just Nick Fans!

Michelle here with a new layout featuring some more of the gorgeous Just Nick Cut files.  I honestly just cannot get enough of them. They are so easy to use and love them for layering and adding interest to my page!

I have two of the newer cut files on my layout today.  Firstly, I have the Floral Swag which I have used to frame the photo of my two girls.  I love how this looks white on white with just a pop of colour in the floral centres.  It also complements my flowers that I have added to my layout as well.  Next I have created my title using another cut file called Hello Spring.  My gosh I love this one, BUT it isn't spring time here in NZ as we are going into Autumn but I didn't let that stop me and so I have cut the whole file out but fussy cut out the 'Spring' section and used the 'Hello' as part of my title.  I also  backed it in the same colour patterned paper that I have used for the Floral Swag.  I love how easy it is to adapt the Just Nick Cut files to work with the theme I am scrapbooking.

Here are some close ups:

Thank you for stopping by the blog today and I hope you have enjoyed my layout with the Just Nick Cut Files today.

Take care
