Hello everyone!  Majken here with you again today, and I'm sharing a spring layout because that's what I'm dreaming of now!  I used my Silhouette Cameo 4 to cut out the Floral Swag 3 cut file, and it is just lovely.  Here is the full layout:

Sunshine Memories

After I cut out Floral Swag 3 from white textured cardstock, I chose to back it with Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream - the colors are so dreamy and sweet!

I chose the watercolor background paper for a soft background for Floral Swag 3, and I used 3D foam tape to pop up the backed cut file so that I could layer some floral ephemera behind it and on top of it for dimension.

I used typed journaling strips for my journaling.

For my title, I used some Thickers and some script alpha from Pinkfresh Studio.

And for a pop of color, I had to use one of those lovely puffy corduroy hearts!

Here's a look at the cut file used on my layout today:

Welcome Fall | Monique Liedtke October 31, 2018 07:00 1 Comment

Hi JustNick friends, it's Monique here sharing one of my Autumn layouts with you. For this page I decided to use one of JustNick's (cut) files to embroider the design on my layout instead of cutting the design. I chose the Floral Swag 3 and used it to create this page of my daughter:

Here's the cut file I used: Floral Swag 3

What I did was replacing the blade by a sketch pen and instead of cutting, I let my Silhouette Cameo draw the flowers on my cardstock. I then pierced holes along the lines and used embroidery floss in various colors to hand stitch the flowers and leaves.

I used Echo Park's "Celebrate Autumn" for my page as I just love the warm colors of the papers and because I love the owls and other cute critters in this collection!

Next I printed two small (3"x 4") photos of my girl, matted these and placed them above the flowers. I decided that the top of my layout was too white and cut a strip of patterned owl paper (4" x 12") and adhered this at the top of my layout, with a small border strip (0.5" x 12") below.

On both sides of the photos I added a little card and a few chipboard pieces:

As I thought there was too much white space in the largest flower of my embroidered design I punched 5 small circles and adhered these in the petals of the flower:

This is it. Hope you like it! There are more floral swag cut files in the JustNick store if you want to try some of them out to create Fall projects as well. Can't wait to see what you'll do!

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you happy scrapping!

Home Sweet Home | Marcia Dehn-Nix October 5, 2018 07:00

Hello JustNick Studio friends!

Marcia here today. Before the first frost here in Minnesota, I wanted to get a photo of my hubby and I on our front step. I like to fill my front step with pots of flowers and ferns. It make me happy to see the plants when I come home. I decided to scrap that photo using the Home Sweet Home digital cut file.

Home Sweet Home made for the perfect title. I layered some gold over the top to create some added interest.

I knew I wanted to include some florals behind my photo and decided on Floral Swag 3. I filled the flowers with a variety of pink pattern papers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello JustNick Studio friends!

Marcia here today. This week the focus has been on flowers, perfect for Spring. In Minnesota, I am still waiting for those flowers as there is still snow on the ground. It cheers me up though to be able to create with some beautiful flowers. Spring is also a time when the children in my church make their first communion. So I thought combining flowers on this layout of my Dad on the day of his first communion would work. My Dad grew up on a dairy farm, the youngest of 11 children. My grandparents are posed with him in this photo. It brings a smile to my face as I see my Grandpa dressed up ... he is wearing a tie with his bib overalls.

I used the Floral Swag 3 and Blossom Blooms digital cut files and arranged them in a circle to frame my photo. Since I had greenery from the Floral Swag 3 cut flowers, I used my eraser in Silhouette Studio to erase the leaves from the Blossom Blooms cut file so I was left with just the flower. I did the same for the Floral Swag cut file so I could cut the flowers out of different pattern papers.

To add some dimension to my layout, I placed buttons in the center of my flowers and added even more flowers with some painted wood veneer pieces.

I hope I've inspired you to add some flowers to your Spring layouts too. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a delightful Easter weekend.
