12 Days of Giveaways - Pine Needle Bough December 11, 2016 00:00 3 Comments

Hey everyone it's Cathy and I'm getting in on the freebie fun!  For my layout today I'm using the free Pine Needle Bough cut file available in the shop!  If you want to get yourself this cute little file make sure you use the code BOUGHFREE.  It's only free for today though, so make sure you pop over to the shop asap.  I loved this cut file and when I saw it I immediately thought of it as making a cute accent to add to a wreath, so I grabbed another JustNick cut file that I had on my computer and cut out a wreath.  I then cut out my bough and sprayed it with black Heidi Swapp colour shine.  I love how bold and fun it looks on my layout and the added pompoms just make it even that much more fun!

Today’s design – Pineneedle Bough - is yours for FREE today only!

Just enter code: BOUGHFREE at checkout to get this design for free.

This code is only valid until midnight CST on December 11th, 2016.

No purchase necessary.

The design will still be available in the JustNick Store for purchase after the discount code expires.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have the Happiest of Holidays!!

Girl of Autumn - Stuck?! Sketches Team Up September 24, 2016 07:00

Hello hello hello everyone!  It's Cathy and I'm back with another layout to share with you!  This time I'm getting ready for my favourite season, and what better way to get in the mood for Fall than to scrap about it!  I used 2 cut files from Just Nick this time.  I used her Floral Wreaths cut file as well as her new Leaves 2 cut file!  I just love the look of the stark white leaves and wreath against the wood grain of the back ground paper.  The leaves would look amazing backed with beautiful patterned paper as well but for this layout I love them on their own.  I tend to be a scrapper who only scraps one or two photos per layout so I altered the sketch a bit to suit the picture that I wanted to use.  I also changed the title position, since I decided to go with such large chipboard letters!  Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to pop over to the Stuck?!Sketches blog, because if you play along with the sketch you have a change to win a prize from Just Nick!

P.S. Don't forget to take a look and be sure to take a peek at my process video for this layout!

Hi cut file fans - Laureen here with you today to share a layout I made with one of the new cut files that has just been added to the shop yesterday!

They are all so lovely and I had a hard time choosing one! As you may know, I absolutely love to back cut files with patterned paper and that's what I did for this layout as well.

I used the Spacey Circle Background 2 and cropped it diagonally so the background would not be too busy - so I just had a long strip on the top and bottom to frame my page.

Here is the page using lots of yellow - which is my absolute favorite color!

And here are a few close- ups of the new file and the details of the page.

Cut files used:

Spacey Circle Background 2

Floral Wreaths

Thankful November 16, 2015 07:00

Hello, everyone! Aurelie here today to share what I've been up to lately with some of the awesome JustNick cut files. This time around, it was all about using neutral tones. I actually began the layout on Remembrance Day/Veterans Day. Being the sombre, yet reflective kind of day it usually is, and loving the Gratitude cut file recently added to the store, I instantly thought of a great pic I had on hand of my parents. Here's my tribute to them:

I cut the word "thankful" twice in two different colours, and stacked them slightly off balance to create a shadowed look. But I couldn't stop there! Ever since being asked to use two or three or four cut files on one project, I've been having a ball combining cut files together. On this particular layout, I also used the very new Leaves and Floral Wreaths cut files. Wreaths, you may ask? Oh, yes! One is there, but in sections creating the stems for the fussy-cut clusters of flowers. Fun! Oh! And cutting the leaves out of two-sided patterned paper, I flipped a few leaves over to create dimension. Want a closer look? Here it is:

Nicole's cut files are SO fun to work with! Hop along to the JustNick store right here and see for yourselves!!

Happy scrapping!
