You Are Cute - Creating a Fun Title | Majken Pullin July 27, 2020 07:00

Hello hello friends!  Majken here with you today...I hope you are doing well in your part of the world.  What better way to beat the pandemic blues than with fun cut files and colorful paper?  Today I'm sharing a layout where I created a fun title!

The first thing I did was insert the Spring Outline Alpha letters for "cute" in the center of four of the hexagon Geometric Frames, then cut them out in white textured cardstock.  I backed each letter with a different color patterned paper, and then I backed each hexagon geometric frame with pink patterned paper and vellum and some stickers.

Behind each hexagon letter, I also put some white thread on top of distressed paper of a different color that I sewed in place.

How sweet do these butterflies pair with the spring-y letters?? You can tell I love these letters!  I also balanced my photo with those butterflies and journaling strips.

I hope you are inspired to create your own titles, too!  And if you are, please share your projects with us on Instagram with #justnickstudio.  We can't wait to see them!

Here are the two cut files I used on my project today.

Thanks so much for joining us today on the blog!  Happy crafting.  :)

GRATEFUL LOVE | Nathalie DeSousa October 24, 2019 07:00

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today bringing you a project all about those beautiful Fall colors.   I love the Fall, and all the new designs that Nicole has been adding to the JustNick  store make it so easy to bring our ideas to life.

As soon as i saw the new Geometric Frames 2 cut file, i knew that one of  them will be perfect to create a wreath for one of my pages.

I used a bit of Vicki Boutin watercolor markers to add a color to the area where the  picture and clusters would be placed.

Once i set the frame on top of the watercolor background, i pulled the new  Leaf Cluster 2  and cut a few of the clusters from white cardstock.  Some of the clusters were also backed with papers from Paige Evan's Truly Grateful collection.

I weaved the clusters of leaves so that  they read as a large cluster on the page. I even added a few extra leaves to bulk the cluster.

I added small embellishments throughout the page so that they pick up the colors of the photo and add small details throughout the page.

I hope this has inspired  you to check the new cut files available at the JustNick Studio shop.  Remember you can contact me with any questions,
