Hi cut file fans,

it's Laureen here to share a brand new layout with you!
For this week the Just Nick Designers were each given a sketch from PageMaps and were asked to create a layout based on it - here is my sketch:

Isn't it super cool?! I loved the sketch a whole lot with all the circles and different elements. Now when it came to actually creating my page I spend hours over hours scrolling through my Just Nick  Cut files to find one I'd like to use and that was the biggest struggle I had! After I finally found one, the page didn't took long at all - here it is:

I used the Going in Circles Background to mimic all the circles from the sketch and am really liking the way it looks!

I cut a piece of patterned paper, stitched down the edges and then placed my cut file on top of that using foam squares for a tiny bit of dimension.

After I had placed that the embellishing was easy peasy - just using some stickers, Thickers and florals from the Shimelle Little by Little Collection.

Now - I hope you feel inspired by the sketch and create something with it, there are so many possibilities. Imagine using a floral ring cut file and cutting that several times and then create your grid - PERFECT!

Happy crafting and have a great day!
Laureen

#Funtimes Layout October 13, 2015 07:00

Good morning, Just Nick friends!  It's Jaclyn joining you on the blog today. Did you happen to catch a peek of the Going in Circles cut file that was featured on Leanne's page yesterday? Isn't it fun?!  Not only is this new design awesome, but it's also the FREE download for October.  Yep, you read that right it's FREE, starting Friday!

All week long the design team will be sharing projects with you, featuring this versatile cut file.  I couldn't wait to use this design, accompanied by a favorite photo of my daughter from over the summer.  One quick look at the page and you can easily see why this design coordinated so perfectly with the snap of my little girl in a polka dotted inner tube!

I sized the file down, and cut it out of the same white cardstock that I used for the base of my page.

Those open circles were just begging to be filled with snippets of fun and colorful papers, don't you think?!  A few strategically placed sequins and embellishments find a nice home among the circles, too!

I knew I'd need a bold font for my title, to prevent it from being overshadowed by the circle design on the top half of my page.  I turned to the Hashtags 1 cut file, knowing that the strong type and fun sentiments would be a great match.  I selected '#funtimes' - cutting it once from the same textured white cardstock and again from a subtle blue grid patterned paper. Using the blue diecut title as a shadow, creates interest and separation from the white background, while still maintaining cohesion.

I'm certain by the end of this week, your brain will be 'going in circles' over all of the ideas you will have accumulated for using this freebie cut file!

Come back tomorrow for another designer's interpretation of the file.  See you then!

All Boy Layout October 12, 2015 07:00

Hello friends! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Day if you live in Canada! It's Lee-Anne here and today I am sharing a layout I created with the Going In Circles Background Cut File which can be downloaded free this Friday, October 16.

I love circles and creating layouts of circles.  I cut this cut file with my Silhouette Cameo and backed it with patterned paper.  To add more shadows and dimension to the layout, I added some dimensional squares to the back of the circle background.  I love the look it gives.

Here is more of a closeup:

I added some alphabet stickers for a title, some flair buttons, word veneers, word stickers and enamel dots to finish the layout.

Be sure and check out the store and see all the designs and be sure and come back on October 16 to download your free Going In Circles Cut File.

Thanks for stopping by!
