Good Vibes | Majken Pullin July 29, 2021 07:00
Hello crafty friends! Majken here with you today to share a scrapbook layout that is a tribute to my favorite caffeinated beverage. My former favorite was a different flavor that has since been discontinued -- booooo! -- so I found this one. Here's my layout:
I started with the pink stripe background as my base, and I decided my photo area would go in an 8 1/2" x 11" mat of white textured cardstock (which I spritzed with some pink and pinkish-orange watercolors) with a pink mat. I machine stitched around the edge.
I cut the Good Vibes cut file out in blue-green cardstock, and then I offset the phrase slightly using my Silhouette Studio software and cut the offset out in white textured cardstock to give my title some dimension.
I used the Pinkfresh Studio Keeping It Real puffy alphabet stickers to finish my title area above the photo.
I used a journal spot to help mat my photo area, and I tucked ephemera around it as well.
On the left side of my layout, I machine stitched some wavy lines down the side and then layered some ephemera and enamel dots down the stitching.
Here is the cut file used on my project today:
After a very challenging year and half, we all deserve some good vibes! Don't forget to share your cut file projects with us on Instagram using #justnickstudio.
Have a great weekend!

Good Vibes | Patricia Roebuck July 9, 2021 06:00

Hello Friends! I have a project in my Life Crafted album for Traveler's Notebook size that is all about my favorite summertime activity...swimming. The new Hey Fishies and Good Vibes cut files are so perfect for summer!

I cut the Hey Fishies, just sizing them a little smaller first, with plain white cardstock. Then I used a .01 brush and watercolors to add lines to my fishies. I love this look because it goes with the design of my project, plus makes my fish very colorful!

I trimmed about 1/4-1/2" strips of pattern paper to emphasize the horizontal line of the project. Using the black cardstock background really helps my colorful fish and the Good Vibes cut file from yellow cardstock to pop.

To add a little more color to pop on my background, I first used Photoshop Elements to make scallops of my photos to trim and adhere. I used my photos to trace and cut out from cardstock. The scallops also go with scales for fish!

The last thing to add were enamel dots for bubbles and puffy stickers and hole reinforcers. Grab these cut files for your next summertime project, would love to see what you do!

You are my Happy - Rachel Lowe May 16, 2018 07:00
Hello everyone!
I hope your having a wonderful week so far.
Today I have a fun layout all about my green fingers NOT lol!
I have used two cut files on this layout:
I have used Crate Paper Good Vibes collection.
I firstly cut a cactus with matching pot which I have foam taped and added machine sewing for texture. Once I had glued my cactus I added cactus stickers from the collection but foam taped then in place so it created a 3D effect.
As it was a feature of my layout I then added a chipboard bird, word stickers/chipboard, heart and enamel pendant.
I then re sized my title to fit my layout. I cut two more hearts and attached them over the heart in the title, added a row of machine sewing down the centre to create a 3D heart.
I have used three paper layers to mat my photo (of the only green things I don't kill lol!) and added some messy machine sewing to the outer pieces of paper. I attached my photo with foam tape and tucked in the paper layers a floral die cut and to finish a die cut bow.
I then typed some journalling and finished it off with another enamel pendant.
Of course a had to add a light splatter of black color shine!
Don't be afraid to mix up your layouts with larger features, photos in unusual places on your layouts or adding to your cut file, it all makes for a individual and unique layout.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Until the next time take care.

Traveler's Notebook | Maryám Pérez March 13, 2018 07:00
Hi Friends! Maryám here with you to share a new project using a cut file from the JustNick Shop. This time I'm using the Wonky Star Background Cut File.
This week is the lucky week on the blog so that's why I decided to use a star cut file. For this spread, I wanted to keep the design very simple. I used a photo of my sister and I added some layers behind of it. On the right side, I added the journaling and a couple embellishments.
Here are some close-ups.
As you can see, I backed the star cut file with a pink patterned paper. I really liked the color of that paper because it matches perfectly with the photo.

Bloom | Jaclyn Rench April 13, 2017 07:00
Hello Just Nick friends, it's Jaclyn here today. This week the Design Team is zeroing in on the many words and sentiment designs available in the Just Nick store. This was a fun challenge for me, as I love typography and making my titles stand out on a page.
Spring is in full bloom here in Ohio and even though my allergies might not agree, I am enjoying the pretty blossoms that are popping up all over my yard. Since many of these flowers only last a short season, I can't resist capturing them on film. These pretty pictures were inspiring me, so I went to my Just Nick library to pair with them, the perfect title.
The brushstroke style of letters featured in the Good Vibes file immediately caught my eye. There are four different sentiments included in this cut design. I chose the word 'Bloom', as it was a perfect match to the story I wanted to tell.
As you'll note, the sentiments in this file are encompassed within a circle. I chose to eliminate the circle portion of the design, as did so simply by 'releasing the compound path' on that portion of the file and sizing the remaining text accordingly.
I couldn't make a flowery, spring-like page without including some of my favorite Just Nick floral designs. I cut a few different shapes and sizes of the Doodle Flowers out of neutral patterns and sprinkled them throughout my design. Layering and embellishing each flower gives them presence but still allows the pictures and title to take center stage.
Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today!

I Love Spring March 22, 2016 07:00
Hello! It's Lee-Anne here and since it's officially Spring in my area, I wanted to share a layout of my favorite season.
For my layout, I began with a 12X 12 piece of white cardstock that I added stripes of distress ink and then I cut the Woven Background on another piece of white cardstock and added it on top of the striped cardstock. I really thought it looked like a garden trellis and would look good with my flower theme.
Next, I cut the Fancy Floral, Good Vibes and Round And Round cut files on some patterned paper, added some foam squares to give more dimension and placed them on top of the Woven Background. Finally I added my photo, my title in mini stickers and some enamel dots.
Here are the cut files:
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out these and many more designs in the Just Nick Digital Cut Files shop. Happy creating!

Hello everyone,
Melissa here with you today and I'm sharing my page created as part of the team up with Page Maps. I was sent a sketch that had me using three photos. Two were stacked on the left and one was to the right. I chose to use two photos and title card for the other photo spot.
I love using sketches as road maps, especially Page Maps! I've always loved how my projects turn out with Becky's sketches.
Anyway, here is the page I created:
I used two cut files for this page. The first one is a background circle file. I cropped it to make it more narrow. I like the look of the half circles around the edge. I also used the circle with the words 'Just Shine'. I love that sentiment with this page. (Links for cut files are found at bottom of post.)
Here are a few close ups to give more detail of what I did with this clean and simple page...
Cut files used: Simple Circle Background and Good Vibes
I hope you have had a chance to see what the team did with the sketches. If not, head over now and view them on the March Page Maps page.
Thanks for swinging by!
