GRATEFUL 2021 | Nathalie October 13, 2021 07:00

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today to share a bit of inspiration using JustNick Studio's newest cut files.   We just celebrated Thanksgiving here in Canada, and that means that it is time for my gratitude journal ( 30 days ) to begin.  Let me show you how I have started my 6x8 album

I love the new MANDALLA LEAF 1  cut file, and just wanted it for the title page of  my album.   I simply cut it twice from white cardstock, glued the pieces together, and then backed the leaf with shimmer vellum.

I chose a very "Fall-ish" paper for the background ( Vicki Boutin mixed media paper pad), and glued the leaf in the center of the page.   I an using the GRATEFUL cut file to create my title.  I cut it from gold mirror paper and white cardstock.  I glued the gold die cut on the page, then glued the negative white cardstock letters on top of the gold die cut.   Just love how this turned out.

I have already started working on my album, and my day 1 is always about my faith.   So, I decided to go for a hybrid approach for this page.  I am using the BOHO FLORALS 3 cut file  to create the background of my page.   This time, I am using the cut file as a digital stamp.

Using my Silhouette software, I placed the images on the canvas, then added my color choice, and sent it to the printer.  A bit of stamping complete my page!

I love the versatility of JustNick Studio's cut files, and how they can work for all types of paper crafting projects and/or documenting formats. Remember to check them out !

XO

Gratitude Bullet Journaling | Patricia November 4, 2019 07:00

Hello Everyone!  I am posting on the blog today to share an idea for my gratitude journaling for the month of November in my Canvo Notebook.

I used a combination of JustNick Cut Files along with other stencils and stamps to get my journaling started.  I first used the TN Fall 2 negative from the leaf design to create my background.

I added more stenciling, and then stamping to my background to build layers.  For the focus, I used the Thankful Cut File and backed it with pattern paper and vellum for the hearts so there would be a little see-through.

Thankful

I created a layered, colorful start to my gratitude journal on the left side.  On the right, I will start journaling, but also love to create or extend the theme.  I used the Leaf Grid Background as a stencil in the center of my page, then added Photo Tabs 1 at the top.  I plan on using a Photo Tab and the Leaves 5 on each page.

I won't journal something everyday.  I like the idea of doing it weekly.  That way I don't create this as a mandatory to-do, but to reflect during the week and identify things to be thankful for:  big or small, really anything!

So my journal is off to a good start and I think it is doable, keeping it to a weekly gratitude journal rather than daily.  Using the cut files as is, as masks or stencils really helped create layers to my journal while keeping it relatively flat too.  I will be back later this month to show how I have progressed!
