14 Days of Giveaways - Day 13 | Morgan Langley December 13, 2017 07:00 2 Comments
Welcome to Day 13 of our 14 Days of Holidays cut file giveaways! Each weekday from December 1-14, 2017 we will be giving away a FREE cut file for that day only!
This cut file was SO fun to use! I cut the tags different sizes using a mix of kraft, white, and patterned card stock. Then I backed the cut outs with another scrap of paper and was ready to add some stitching accents!
On some of the tags I used a ruler to mark straight, different sized lines with a pencil and then stitched them, some I stitched around the image, others I stitched snowflakes, and a couple I did some french knot stitches!
I put thread or bakers twine through the hole of each tag and put adhesive so they would stay in position on my layout!
For my background I just sewed on some scraps of Christmas paper with my sewing machine using a mix of white and red threads. I added my photo and some wood snowflakes and Christmas trees and then the layout was complete!
Thank you for stopping by and make sure to get this file (HOLIDAY TAGS 2) today FREE with the code TAGFREE at checkout! Come back tomorrow for the 14th Day of giveaways!

Happiness in Circles! | Morgan Langley August 6, 2017 07:00
Hello friends! Today I am kicking off circles week on the Just Nick blog using the "Dreamcatcher Background 1". I love the sections in this file and I knew I wanted to add some hand stitching!
I started by backing the cut file with papers from the new Maggie Holmes collection "Carousel". Then I stitched some of the sections using corresponding colors and some using plain white embroidery floss.
I embellished using the puffy stickers from the collection as well as those gold glitter stars from the chipboard sticker sheet. I fussy cut two kites from the collection and layered them with some tangled thread. My title came from the ephemera pack and I love how it all came together!
I added some light pink splatters and added the border with my sewing machine! I used light blue thread and set my machine to do a scallop stitch!
This layout was so fun to make and I love the look of the different sections with the Dreamcatcher Background file! Thank you for stopping by!
Hello Spring planner setup March 31, 2017 07:00
Hello!!! I'm so excited to be sharing my project for today. Which is really just an alternative idea because my printer is acting really strange and I don't have any photos to use for a layout ha! But I like what I did instead so it's still win-win! :) I hope you will like it as much as I do.
I used this really cute flower cut files (Basic Flowers) to make some paper clips (and a sort of shaker paper clip too!).
I said sort of a shaker paper clip because it doesn't shake that much lol! I cut the circle too tight and I didn't have much room for a teeny tiny foam tape to add height to the first layer of the shaker clip. I know what I'd need to do so it'll be a "real" shaker clip next time.
I also used the "Hello Spring" cut file but only used the word "hello". Originally, I thought of using one of my A5 planners. But the colors didn't match well so I used my personal teal and white from Webster's Pages instead.
I use this personal planner for things all about home (bills, savings, meals and other miscellaneous stuff for the home).
I made an envelope too, for bills money etc. I just used a clip as closure (just because I couldn't find my white velcro tape).
I just love the colors and florals! I am not a fan of purple but it's one of the colors that come to mind when you say "Spring". This isn't really Easter themed but more on the flowers of Spring.
Look how cute these clips are! They're like flowers in a garden!
That's all for me today.
Have a great weekend ahead everyone!
