Happy Halloween | Valeska Guimaraes October 22, 2021 07:00

Hello JustNick friends!

I'm Valeska and here and today we are going to focus on Halloween.

Halloween is almost here and we are starting to get ready for this super special and fun-filled holiday.

There are so many Halloween themed cut files in JustNick store, and I'm sure you will create amazing projects with them.

I chose two cut files to work: "Happy Halloween 3" and "Halloween Icons 2".

First of all, I started cutting the bats and the spider web from the halloween Icons 2 cut file on a black cardstock.

In a white cardstock, I placed the spider web in the middle of my page as a stencil and I used orange distress oxide to make the shadows.

Then I cut the interior of my Happy Halloween 3 from a patterned paper from Echo Park Paper collection Witches & Wizards, that seems very appropriated for my photos.

Then I cut the offset of my letters in a white cardstock and after that I used the same distress oxide on them.

Before placing my photos, I added some black acrylic paint splashes.

I used 3D foam stickers in the letters to give it some height and dimension.

On the top of my page, I tore the white paper showing the printed paper of witch's brooms.

Now is the best part: placing the embellishments.

I put some on the top of the happy halloween cut file, and placed the bats from Halloween Icons 2 around my page.

I hope you enjoy this layout and get inspired to create with those beautiful cut files.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hey there cut file friends! It is Halloween week on the blog and I am excited to share a page using the new Halloween Icons cut file.

A cut file like this one is so versatile and is a good addition to your stash. This one has multiple images, and I chose to use a few on my page.

How fun are these icons! I chose to enlarge the spiderweb and add that along the right edge of my page to get started.

After that was in place, I added my photos and title using a font and then cut out these super cute pumpkins from Happy Jack.

They are the perfect little embellishments perfectly fitting into my pumpkin carving photos!

I added in a few layered bats from the Halloween Icons cut file set to finish things off!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you stock up on a few of our new Halloween cut files!

Nicole

SPOOKTACULAR SELFIE | Nathalie DeSousa October 30, 2018 07:00

Hi there!

Happy Halloween everyone!   Oh, how i miss the day my kids would dress up for the day, all the preparations, the make up and all the candy afterwards (well, there is still candy!!);  now that theya are teenagers all I am left with are sweet memories of Halloween's past.  So, i pulled a few pictures from a couple years ago to create this page using some of the new JustNick Studio cut files.

There are so many cut files to chose from, and it was so hard to pick one, that i decided to mix four cut files in one page.

I combined one of the Basic Heart cut file  images with the Spiderweb 2 background and Web cut files to create the cut out for this page.  I chose to cut it from black cardstock, so that it would stand out from the mixed media background (created with Jane Davenports Mermaid Markers).

Before setting the cut out on the page, a bit of white acrylic paint was rubbed on the cardstock, this gives the cut out that worn/antique look you see in the layout.

The pictures were sized so that they fit in between the two spiderwebs inside the heart, and then i used stickers and embellishments from a few Halloween collections (Simple Vintage Halloween from Simple Stories,  Pink Paislee's Spellcast and Pebbles' Midnight Haunting) to add some small details aroun the page.

For the title of this page, I chose the new Happy Halloween cut file to create the "SPOOKTACULAR" part of the title.  It was cut from black cardstock and then treated to a white acrylic paint wash.

Now it is time to go and set all the candy in bowls for us to share (well a bit of it, at least!).  Remember to stop by the JustNick Studio store to check all the cut files used here and all other beautiful designs.  You can always contact me if you have questions on how this all came together!

Have a safe and  Happy Halloween!!
