JustNick Cut File Store

Summer #Funtimes! October 14, 2015 07:00

Good Morning!  Guiseppa here and I hope you have been enjoying the design team's projects using the free cut file, Going in Circles, available Friday October 16th!  I know I had so much fun using this cut file!

I love this file because of all of the fun things I can add to it.  I can place pictures and embellishments in the circles and make customize my project.  This file will work for any layout you are creating!

Have a look at what I did!

JustNick also has some fun words you can use to created titles.  I chose the Summer Words and Hashtags 1 cut files to create my title.

As you can see I used the empty circles as well as the the ones that weren't to add pictures, embellishments and to personalize my layout.

So, what do you think you will do with this fun cut file?  It's your...available on Friday!  Yay...who doesn't love FREE!  Make sure you stop by the JustNick Store to see all of the fun cut files!  Thanks for stopping in and happy cutting with JustNick cut files!

Today Captured September 17, 2015 07:00

Hey everyone! I am excited to be back on the blog today, sharing a project made with this inspiration piece I found on Pinterest:

(source)

I love a good quilt. I wish I had the patience to make my own :) When I saw this quilt on pinterest, I instantly thought of the Positive backgrounds available in the store. I chose to use Positive Background 1 for my project.

I cut the file from some scrap cardstock and used it as a stitching template, rather than using the actual paper cut on my project. This took a little love and patience, but I like how it turned out :) I stitched the + signs with various colors of embroidery floss and then added some watercolor paint along the inside and outer edges of the + signs, adding some trimmed out + signs to some of the middles with patterned papers.

I really like how that turned out! Although I love using the cut files with paper and for paper, it's fun to use them in a different way too. I next cut a title using some words from the Hashtags 1 cut file and Capture This cut file. I cut the TODAY word 5 times and layered them together for a thicker look.

That's it for me today!! Please come back tomorrow for a special guest and there may just be a freebie in it for you :)

First Day Photos September 11, 2015 07:00

Hello!  It's Jaclyn here today bringing you one final project for Back to School week.  My littlest one starts her first day of preschool next week.  She's been watching her older brothers head off to school for over a month now, so she's very anxious for her own turn.  In preparation for her first day, we've been talking a lot about her first year at preschool which made me realize I still had yet to scrapbook those pictures!

I always take lots of photos on the first day, so I knew this page would be rather picture heavy and may not lend itself to lots of embellishing.  Lucky for me, Nicole has a wide range of files to fit just about any theme or project parameters.  I used the Hashtags 1 file to make a bold statement with my title.

I selected the word 'photos' from the cut file and sized it fit in the white space of my focal point photo. I popped the diecut piece up on foam adhesive to draw even more attention to it.

I love that the font used in the text for this file, leaves no openings/spaces on the letters that would normally require it.  That left a fun opportunity for me to embellish those parts of the letters.  I simply selected a couple of coordinating heart die cuts to staple into the center of each 'O'.

Thanks to 'Back to School' week on the blog and Nicole's awesome cut files, I'm glad to finally have this  memory recorded!

We hope you'll share with us all the ways you are adorning your school themed projects with the Just Nick cut files! Leave us a link in the comments, post to our Facebook page, or tag your Instagram photos with #justnickstudio.
