Boo, y'all!  Happy Halloween everyone.  Majken here today to continue the Halloween-themed fun, and I'm so glad you're here!  For Halloween in 2018, my cute son quickly settled on being a hotdog.  He's so fun.  :)  I hadn't documented that yet, so this year is the perfect opportunity.  Let's take a peek!

First, I cut the house and bats from "Haunted" out from black textured cardstock and played around with it with my photo to make sure I had it in the place I wanted it.

**TIP ALERT**:  If you place a lot of pieces of cardstock or papers out and don't want to lose the placement, have I got a tip for you!

1. Place your pieces where you plan to put them:

2. Take a low tack or well-loved Silhouette Cameo or other 12 x 12 cutting mat and lay it tack-side down over the project:

3. Press your fingers over the pieces and then carefully flip the cut file and set aside:

4. Put adhesive on the back of the pieces, flip it back over when you are ready to put the pieces on your project, and carefully peel the mat off your project.  If you aren't sure of some of the pieces, you can leave the adhesive off until you're ready.

That's it!  I hope you find that helpful when you are working with small pieces of a cut file or ephemera.  :)

Okay next I used the super cute Simple Stories Happy Haunting with some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and silver spritz.  I cut a piece of white textured cardstock to 10" x 10" and blended Black Soot ink dark at the top gradually getting lighter almost at the bottom.  Once it was dry, I spritzed water on it and blotted it with a paper towel, then I spritzed glittery silver spray on top.

I distressed the edges and then sewed to the star patterned paper to create my base.

I followed the same inking steps on a smaller piece to cut "Boo" from "31" and "Spooky" from "Scary Stuff" out.  I also did an offset of the bats in Haunted and cut out the slightly larger outline from light gray cardstock so they'd show up a little better from the background.

Here are the cut files I used on today's project:
