Heart is Full | Morgan Langley February 15, 2018 07:00

Hey crafty friends! I am excited to be sharing another LOVE post this week! I used the beautiful "Heart is Full Background" cut file to create this fun and simple layout of my sister, Violet, and I!
I cut the file first from pink card stock and then made a circle a little big larger than the file on my Silhouette to create the white circle to make the file stand out against this cute patterned paper from the "Turn the Page" collection. Then on to embellishing!
I used the "Turn the Page" ephemera pack as well as the 12x12 paper pad to cut out those adorable flowers and butterflies. I stitched through the middle of some of the butterflies for added texture. I also added puffy hearts as well as a bow, camera, and hot air balloon sticker from the "Carousel" collection.
I created my title using the thinkers and puffy sticker "happy" also from the "Carousel" collection with the ampersand piece from "Turn the Page". I loved this mixing of alphas.

Love You by Niki Rowland February 06, 2018 07:00

Hi there Just Nick Fans! Niki here with you today with a love themed layout and today I'm celebrating the love of my gorgeous girl. I completely fell in love with this new cut file to the store, Heart Background 4 - it's awesome, I love those divided hearts and  knew instantly that I had to cut this out of a nice bright paper to give it justice.

I chose a very busy and colourful paper from the Crate Paper Main Squeeze collection and cut the Heart Background 4 from it, almost as big as I could go! I've then raised it up on foam pads and built up the rest of my layout at the bottom in a cluster.
I embellished the top part of the cut file with fussy cut hearts and pretty glittery stickers and I finished off with a few acrylic hearts
I totally loved working with this cut file, it's so gorgeous and was perfect for the layout I wanted to make. Thanks for joining me today and happy scrapping xxx

Love These People layout by Rachel Lowe: November 18, 2017 07:00

Hello JustNick friends today I have a layout that is all about family!

I have used this gorgeous Heart Background cut file. Remember you can resize this cut file to suite your layout. I cut one in white card stock and then another in vellum.

I chose Elle Studio Family Fun collection!

I then chose several different coloured papers and backed some of the hearts. To keep some white space I have not over done the paper backed hearts.

I then attached to the centre of the page. I then added my vellum hearts background cut file and attached by sewing over the bigger hearts. The vellum adds another texture and softness.

I have added some puffy stickers, acrylic hearts and word stickers on random hearts to add more interest.

I have created a journal block feature at the bottom of my page (which I will journal on later)

I created a polaroid frame for my photo and added an over sized title to the side.

I have finished my layout off using a red and heart border strip and adding a woodie from my stash.

Here are some close up photos for you.

I love this photo of my kids and I, and wanted to create a fresh, bright and happy layout.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Meet our June GDT + freebie time! June 17, 2016 07:00 2 Comments

Good morning! We are pleased to have Sheena Rowlands joining us this month as our guest designer.

Hi Im Sheena x

A British Mum to 3 children who are growing up way too fast!

I love to create & currently quilt & crochet but Project Life & Scrapbooking are my favourite ways to record our crazy life.

I currently design for Shimelle.com & Hey Little Magpie ( UK’s number 1 online scrapbook store)

We asked Sheena to design a few pages for us and here is the first one she sent using our Heart Background cut file:

When I saw the Heart Background cut file I knew I wanted to use it as a sewing template for a layout. So instead of setting my Cameo to cut I set it to perforate the edge so I could sew around the lines of the file.

I will admit it was a labour of love but I did most of it in front of my favourite programmes. I clustered my photos with the embellishments & title so as to show as much of the sewing as possible on the finished page.

We also created this month's freebie cut file and sent it to Sheena and she created this page!

As the background for this page I used the Tic Tac Toe cut file. I reduced it to 6x6in and copied it 3 more times then flipped them & joined them back as one large square.

Do you remember kaleidoscopes from when we were kids? Well that was the look I was going for when I backed the cut file with squares of rainbow coloured paper. I kept the rest of my design central using a photo of myself & my 3 children, when did they get so tall!!, I cut the Always from the Today, Forever, Always cut file in black then cut it again outer edge only this time from watercolour paper which I randomly painted before adding the black edging back over.

Super fun page right! Here is a peek at the cut file for this page:

Now, you can grab this file for free by using the code TICTACTOEFREE at checkout NOW until June 30, 2016 only!

Hi everyone!

Melissa here with a layout showcasing one of the awesome background cut files in the shop.

I love using background cut files because it adds interest and rhythm to a page. They are especially fun for a clean and simple scrapper - which is what I use to label myself. Now, I just love to experiment and one of those ways of experimentation, is utilizing these cut files to their full potential.

Here is the page I created:

I really love this heart background! I chose to use the .png version and traced it. After releasing the compound path, I left some of the hearts filled. Then, with the negative part cut out, I used gelatos to create a watercolor effect and layered them. On top of the color, I added some stencil work using modeling paste and other embellishments. I felt so artsy! And, the best part, it was super easy.

Thanks for swinging by today!
