Love You | Majken Pullin February 8, 2021 07:00

Hello lovely crafty friends!  Majken here with you today to share a Love / Hearts project with you as we get close to Valentine's Day.  I adore hearts - I used to doodle them all the time and fill up notebook pages of them!  I decided to borrow from that theme for my layout today!

I spattered watercolor over my background and set it aside to dry.  I opened and cut various sized hearts from three cut files, along with the "love you", from Love Language, Hearts Alive, and Hey You.  I cut them out from both white cardstock and red patterned paper.  I wasn't sure how I'd use all of them yet, but I am okay with having extra to stash away for the future!

I used "love you" as my title and machine stitched under the letters to emphasize them.  I stitched on my photo mat area as well, and then I used 3D foam tape to pop up the large red heart.

I sprinkled a few of the other hearts around my layout with enamel hearts, heart buttons, and heart stickers.

All those hearts sprinkled on the page just make me happy!

I had to force myself to stop.  :)

This Valentine's Day will be a quiet one, but I'm okay with that. Here are the fun cut files I used on my project today:

Love Language

Hearts Alive

Hey You

I hope you are inspired to spend some time with your significant other and then scrapbook something celebrating love.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey Girl | Majken Pullin September 1, 2020 07:00

Hello lovely crafty friends!  Majken here today with you to share a new project.  I used the "Hey You" cut file to create a large title.  Here is the full scrapbook layout:

I first cut out the "hey" and "girl" using the pink patterned paper.  To help it stand out more, I created an offset of the title in Silhouette Studio and cut that out using white textured cardstock, and then I glued the pink on top.

I decided to use some of the cut apart cards in the Pink Paislee Pick Me Up collection by Paige Evans along with my photo to create a banner.

I used white twine to hang my banner on.  And I sprinkled some fun embellishments through the twine as well.

The title's mat creates fun texture along with the watercolor, ephemera, and stickers.

I used a tiny flower puffy sticker to dot the "i" in "girl".

Here is the fun cut file you can use to create your own fun titles!

I'm so glad you joined us today on the JustNick blog!  Enjoy your week.

SUMMER GIRL ! | Sophie Delorme July 14, 2020 07:00

Hello crafty friends !

It's Sophie here and I am sharing a very summery layout with you today !

I used the Mermaid Scale Background 1 cut file, soon available in the shop if not yet ! It looks like this scale background:

I erased about half of it before cutting it with my silhouette. I cut out the borders as well to get only the scalloped fringes. I sticked the cut file down on white cardstock and carefully stitched on it with white thread.

I kept the inside parts and painted them with watercolor in a rainbow of colors to match my embellishments, that are from a beautiful Simple Stories collection called "Hello Summer". I curled them up and adhere only the upper part of them on my layout. I love all the dimensions and interest it brings to the page.

The "Girl" in my title comes from the beautiful cut file "Hey you", that I cut on green cardstock with an offset cut on white cardstock. I also applied some Glossy Accent on it to make it shine a little bit.

Finally, I used plenty of flowers, other summer embellishments and enamel dots in clusters on my page, I wrote down my journaling on thiny strips of white paper and added the date.

Here are a few close-ups.

I hope you felt inspired by my page today and got some ideas on how to use these gorgeous cut files !

Thank you for stopping by, and I wish you a great crafty day !
