Hi Friends!  And Happy New Year!  As I thought about the new year coming and improvements to make, I am already starting one new routine of weight lifting.  I have put it off, but for me as I get older, I realize how much I need to do it.

I used the new Background 8, and chose fresh colors from a Christmas pattern paper collection.  The colors went with my title of 'Fresh Start Everyday.'  I also used white cardstock on a few places.  Then I trimmed the piece and offset the three to mesh together on my 6x8 layout side.

Then I used another piece for a divider.  All I had to do was add my title and embellishments.  I added my typed journaling to the divider, and a photo onto printed digital paper with a chipboard frame under it to finish.

Hope this inspires you go create your own 2022 layout using the Background 8 as I have and changing the colors, or by using it as one large piece for a 12x12 layout.  Either way works!  Happy New Year!!!

2021 | Sheena Rowlands December 29, 2021 07:00 2 Comments

Hi there, Sheena here again,

For my last post for this year I decided I wanted to make a layout for the end of my scrapbook album and found 2 perfect Just Nick Studio cut files to help me document this.

2021.

The Countdown numbers cut file was perfect for adding the year in the centre of my layout.

Using 8 photos from throughout the year I placed them around the numbers. using Pinkfresh Studio The Best Day collection I matted all the photos.

Using the Labels 1 cut file and various coloured cardstock I cut journalling spots for each photo. I matted the label outline onto patterned paper I could journal on.

A little embellishment was added to each photo in co ordinating colours.

I hope this has provided some inspiration using these wonderful Just Nick Studio cut files and keep checking back in as new cut files are added regularly.

Till next time x

12 days of Giveaways - Day 12 | Our Christmas Traditions | Sheena Rowlands December 12, 2021 07:00 2 Comments

Hi there x

Sheena here again sharing with you my latest layout featuring todays lovely free festive cut file from Just Nick Studio for the 12 days of Giveaways.

Our Christmas Tradition.

Todays cut file is the Winter Florals 4  and was just the perfect cut file to help me record these past Christmas memories.

Using cardstock in shades of red and pink I cut the 3 florals outlines. I drew around them onto water colour paper before painting them in similar shades. When they were dry I cut them out and adhered them behind the floral outlines.

Using patterned Christmas paper as my base I added a pink panel which I machine stitched into place. My photo was mounted on this and the florals were adhered either side with some florals layered on top of others.

The fronds were cut from green cardstock and added around the florals. The title was added under the photo and strips of journalling too.

A final floral was added below the journalling to finish the page off.

This offer is only valid till midnight CST on December 12th 2021.

No purchase necessary. The correct cut file must be loaded in your cart in order for the discount to auto-apply. No refunds will be given. The design will still be available in the Just Nick Store for purchase after the discount expires.

I hope you feel inspired to create using some of these fabulous daily free festive cut files available at Just Nick Studio

Merry Christmas x

Moments | Sheena Rowlands November 24, 2021 07:00

Hi there x

Sheena here again and I am sharing my latest 12x12 layout featuring a gorgeous Just Nick Studio cut file.

Moments.

When I saw this Divided Florals cut file, it immediately reminded me of a wedding bouquet so I printed off a few photos from my Brothers wedding in black and white, to scrap with it.

Using white cardstock I cut the file and backed the flowers with plain cardstock only using adhesive in the centres to give a more 3D look.

Using mainly Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection I set about adding my 3 small photos between the cut files which I adhered down using foam pads.

This Divided Florals cut file is so beautiful the page needed very little embellishment so I added a few layers behind the photos and see vellum leaf sprigs around the edges.

I hope you feel inspired to create using some of the fabulous cut files available in the Just Nick Studio store, there is a file for every occasion. Keep on checking back as new cut files are being added all the time.

Till next time x

Awesome Boy | Sheena Rowlands October 9, 2021 07:00

Hi there, Sheena here again x

Today I'm sharing with my latest 12x12 layout featuring a really great cut file from Just Nick studio. When I saw this cut file in the shop I knew exactly the photo I would use with it.

Awesome Boy.

I wanted to use the All Boy cut file to make a statement title to compliment this statement photo of my Grand Pup looking really cool!

I resized the words to fit down the length of the layout and split the word awesome into 2 halves. I cut them and an arrow, all from white cardstock and backed them with Cocoa Vanilla Studio - Legendary collection patterned papers.

After attaching the A4 photo to the background patterned paper, the words were adhered overlapping the photo.

To finish the layout needed very little embellishment so I added a scattering of stars and some word stickers.

I hope you feel inspired to create and check out these cut files and more in the Just Nick Studio shop.

Till next time x
