Kindness Everyday | Majken Pullin May 5, 2020 07:00

Hello friends!  Majken here with you today.  I hope everyone is taking a big, deep cleansing breath as we head into a new month.  Is it just me, or did April feel like it was 897 days long? Well, in any case, it's a nice time to celebrate the small things --  like when siblings are kind to one another.  My daughter and son do get along for the most part, but when you can see the love, those are golden times.  <3  I'm so glad I was able to capture a spontaneous moment of their love on camera a few years ago.  Let's take a peek!

Kindness Everyday

For my layout, I first found my two photos and muted the photo color saturation so the bright colors in the background wouldn't be too bold and overpower (but not so much to make them fully black and white) before printing them.  I pulled out the Pebbles This is Family collection.

I spritzed some Tattered Rose and Black Soot Distressed Oxide ink and water onto my white textured cardstock.  While I let that dry, I cut the Kindness Everyday cut file out on one of the floral patterned papers from the collection using my Cameo 4.

I also matted my photos using patterned papers and black textured cardstock.

I love a bold title on a scrapbook layout!  I cut nine rectangles out and adhered them to the edges of my 11 1/2" x 11 1/2" white cardstock background, adhered that to a 12x12 black cardstock, and then sewed around the edge of the white and over the pink rectangles.

Some ephemera and enamel dots finished the layout!

This was a fun layout to pull together, and I hope you are inspired to create using cut files and pretty paper!

Here is the cut file used on today's project:

We appreciate you stopping by the blog today!  Stay safe, be crafty.
